I'm in a Richard Smallwood mood; Love Vanessa William's solo at the beginning of Kurt Kaiser's 'Oh How Loves Me' as an intro to Smallwood's "Your Love Divine" - I'm the biggest fan of vocal timbres - she can take this from delicate floating to hard hitting edgy back to delicate, employing techniques used right across different genres: that's the 'technical' aspect of gospel singing which combines with spiritual connection, heartfelt expression, experience, leading the audience/congregation into a place where the focus is not on the singer but on things above !

Connie Pastel They did take like a little break when Richard did his piano solo so I guess that's probably how LOL. But I have seen Gospel concerts where they don't take breaks though
