3 of the cars in the collection were built by my family. The two 40 fords came from my family. The teal one was my dads and the blue was my brothers. Built by my dad and with my dads help which is why they looked so similar. The black fuel injected 57 Chevy was also my dads. Built by him when I was a kid. Glad to hear they found a good home.

The gentlemen that passed away was definitely a cool and classy guy. Between an awesome collection of cars, car club, racing, and the Charity...one fine guy! Condolences to the family. Congrats on being able to put together a deal where all parties seem satisfied. Looking forward to see what GMG does with these vehicles (sell directly, sell at auctions, or a combo of both). I'd bet most vehicles would sell fairly quickly and for a premium price. Good luck & all the best.

Richard I know what you mean about emergency services supplies. January 27th I tripped and fell in my front yard. I broke my neck in 2 places and destroyed the disks. Been partially paralyzed since. Point is, EMS did not have enough neck supporting supplies on board. Fortunately the one size neck brace they had, did the job until I got to the ER. 1st responders need more support!

I remember back in 1980 my next door neighbor was an old man in his late 80s , he used to own a pown shop in San Francisco in the 1940s and 50s one day he showed me his colt guns collection most were new in the box and he had a large collection of WW2 German military lugers hundreds of WW2 German helmets and uniforms but the 1911s from WW1 was what really impressed me they were like New and some really nice Winchesters from the late 1800s , when he passed away one of his children come over to take care of selling the house and other stuff, about a week late another neighbor told me - can you believe early in the morning the guy took all the guns and rifles to the police station because he didn't like guns that all the military stuff he took to the local dump yard - the house sold in about 2 weeks later, it's unbelievable how some people collect things they love but to others it's just junk,
I can remember when GMG was the new TV personality and was in a heated vehicle build off with O.C.C. You Sir are tv Gold, aswell as your cast of characters.

Actually, the kids selling the cars is the best thing. The cars will be in the hands of people that truly appreciate them and know their value. This is why great family fortunes are diminished or lost because the children do not have the same true interest in the collection/business and can't appreciate the work/love/passion that originally went into building a business/collection. Look at news reporter Anderson Cooper. He works at CNN after the Vanderbilt fortune was mostly squandered.
