James rocks, he has such a really great vibe.
I found the 5 moves being a 1650 Elo. It makes a big difference if you know that there is a winning move. It´s half of the job done.
Great job James Canty. Love the energy and good luck on your GM quest. Heard you yesterday on the Chess Experience pod. Love the mindset. Love the haters then block em!
James's reaction is just gold 😂
I am pretty sure Rapport won't consider any of these as his top 5 moves. These are like, top 5 flashy moves, which would impress a 1200, nothing much!

Nothing wrong with that, these are pretty moves. But I do agree it would cool to see some more high level moves, maybe some that show plans instead of short combinations. The best moves of Aronian video had some absolutely wild ones that would satisfy players of all levels imo.
I am in no way a chess pro, nor even good at chess, but I did fine the first brilliant move and I'm proud of myself.
What a fantastic video! Absolutely sick moves by Rapport, and amazing fun commentary by James!
I like the commentary. Thanks for the entertaining video!

I definitely felt those shockwaves! And thoroughly enjoyed them!
Early videos of James I was kinda meh about, but after watching his speed chess play and this video I’m a convert. Nice vid. Really helps to watch a few of their games to get a feeling for where chess communicators are coming from. Finishing ahead of Danny has to be a good feeling too!
Fantastic moves by Richárd and also a great video!
Love your analysis and commentary, wish I could hit the like button twice, Cheers!
Fantastic and exciting explanation - thank you James !!
This was great! Awesome videos💯
CONGRATS TO JAMES CANTY FOR GETTING THAT FM TITLE!!!
Not sure how recent it is, but I see those FM initials next to Mr. Canty's name. Congrats to the big dog!

This is not chess, this is simply a pure piece of art. Unbelievably beautiful.
That last one though 🤯🤯🤯🤯❤🎉😮
James you are insane bro I laugh a lot with you thanks for hosting this sick moves from one of my favourite players
wow i didn’t knew Rapport was so genius. As a 1800, i stopped the video and thought a lot, and i guessed just the last three
Really enjoyed this one!

I'm proud to say I found bxd7 on the last game. Great video, James always makes things super hype and interesting!

Not that difficult to find if you know there is tactics. True genius is to find it while playing at the board
Great work by James🔥 He reads my mind throughout the video too😂 Found all that he said I found xD
i like when you look at the camera and wait. plz wait some more its so funny for me
Some of the best puzzles ever, and all the better for not being compositions!
Absolutely brilliant genius moves
It's 'look' van Wely ;), played him in a simul in Utrecht once! great video
I enjoyed this. Thanks.
For puzzle 4, I found a rook sacrifice on h4. For puzzle 5 I found the brilliant move bishop takes d7 who was the answer.
Amazing video 😀☺️
Super entertaining and educational.
I like Richard Rapport's playing style, his games are very fun to watch
Rapport and JC3 both criminally underrated
My man Canty better be getting these titles soon. James!! What you waiting for?! Love ya!

I am a great Richard fan and I love Canty comments too, very nice
Nice. I could only get 1 and 3 haha. Made me a RR fan :)
I found all five solutions without much trouble, but it's one thing to find a combination when someone is shouting "There's a combo here!", and quite another to find it over the board.
great video, nicely explained. 'scribed
That first game against Nils Grandelius, I spotted rh1 immediately. Deflects the queen from observing f3, with a skewer to the rook for mate.
Brilliancy! I saw the second one quite quick and had good hopes for 3 4 amd 5 but I totally couldn't see the wins.
Is there a James Canty III playlist? His videos are so entertaining... I want to watch all :D
One possible addition in last puzzle is Bf6 freeing the space for the king
Some of these are just spectacular
Was really mad about how dumb i was for not seeing the solution to any of the first ones, but i was so happy when i managed to find mate on the last one even though it took me 5 minutes lol
Exciting, how FM Caty presenting crazy moves 👍
Absolutely great host!
Damn your energy is superb!
i never thought i would see something more beautiful than Bobby Fischers game with Donald Byrne. this rivals that game
I appreciate these brilliant moves, thanks! Hope Richard will find sponsors to support his living. Guy seems so distressed and not enjoying the games in FIDE.
Literally the best
Que bestial! Richard es todo un loquillo

Nice clip! I worked out 3, 4 and 5
I am very proud and surprised that I managed to see the first rook move. What an inspiring player!
sick moves!
Awesome review, great energy, still a bit shaken by the shockwaves. That guy Rapport is pretty creative, thanks for sharing
Thank you James Canty very good commentating
Briliant ❤️
james is amazing!
Hell, I found both moves in that last game! I'm gonna feel good about that while it lasts :p
On position 3 I was thinking h6+ and if king takes then fxg5+ would have a discovered attack on the queen. But obviously it’s not as forcing as the line played. Good stuff. Been watching all of these.
the last time i saw, your title still NM Canty, congratulations on your new title mate.
U paused my video but u were still blinking
As a 1750 rapid player I actually found all 5 initial moves and all of their followups besides the last one. However, there's a major difference between looking at a position knowing there is a winning move and playing the position in-game, as I likely would completely overlook these winning tactics in-game. That last sequence was especially beautiful.

it's actually a lot easier than even puzzle tactics because we are watching a super GM's "top unbelievable moves" list. not only do you know there is a winning sequence, but you know it's unusual. you disregard a lot of normal looking moves because you are primed to look for unusual moves since you know a normal looking maneuver can't be the solution.
@a-train69420
Жыл бұрын
@@zfeazcesd1047 Precisely. That was what I was trying to get across in my original comment, but you put it into words perfectly. Even if I got the positions in puzzle rush I may not have found all of them but because I knew it was a spectacular move I was looking for, that made the moves a lot easier to find.
😃😃😃 I can felt the shockwave here @Wonogiri-Indonesia
I expected Rapport's game against Noel Stüder to feature in this.
first game - the only way to get out of checkmate loop is to move pawn to c3 or c4 to make space for king to escape
1:57 in this position you could consider doing Kb2 to attack the rook and defend the F3 square
Nice presentation james
I'm just curious if 1:10 is mocking "THE ROOOOKKK!!!11" or foreseeing it.
James..You are the best.
James is next level !!
#2 shows how strong an open file can be when king's defenders are away and two rooks have access
I found the last one. but the others WOW. and If I had not been looking for a way to win the game with the knowledge that I could mate, I would not have found the bishop move. WOW!
The last one is insane
