Richard Rankin does a great job at a real Edinburgh accent. I know hes from Glasgow, but he really does a realistic version of an Edinburgh accent. Hes got all the Edinburgh nuances and expressions. I know a lot of people outside Scotland wont really know the difference. Theres been a few Scottish actors, usually from Glasgow, in the past, who didnt really try. But Richard nails it.

There's only one Rebus and that's the character the great Ian Rankin dreamt up. Just turning the books into theatre or film is irrelevant when the books are so good, but this adaptation works perfectly. I love it. 👍
