Thank you, Richard, for a very well presented and clear demo on the rosette process.

I have one of Richard's guitars. He named it Zarita and it's my favourite possession. Sounds gorgeous. Wouldn't be away from her for long now as I start missing her if I am. Never thought a couple of bits of wood could do that to me. Richard has put something magical into that wood. It's almost alive.

The process of placing a Rosette onto the top is as unique a technique to accomplish this step as I have seen. Normally the elements of making the rosette are part together separately from the top. Then a channel the width of this is routed into the wood of the top. The Tuning Machines appear to be the ones Irving Sloane was selling years ago. I believe they were Brass plates on them (If these are the same ones that I'm thinking of. There are some Tuners made by a "Vstuners" currently that appear to made of the best materials & as such are geared for the Luthier looking for worthy tuners

Nice traditional guitar! In the current on the market models, aluminum string drums are used for most of them and the bushings are usually in teflon; I personally believe that the replacement using galalith conveys a considerable improvement in timbre and sound sealing.
