My husband dedicated this song to me at our wedding. It wasn't until recently, after watching our wedding video ( I had it converted from VHS to DVD) , I really listened to the words. My husband and I were married in 1997 and he passed away in 2021. And the words to this song are so emotional for me. Thank you so much for this song. Every time I listen to this song, it brings tears to my eyes because I miss my husband so much, but it is so touching that he felt this way about me. He was a wonderful man. At our wedding, I don't think I truly took in all the words and what they meant, but I am so grateful to have this song to listen to whenever I want to feel my husband just a little bit more. Thank you so much for that.

This song came out when my son was born and I used to hold him in my arms and dance to this song. It has so much meaning for me, I even quoted it in his high school yearbook. We will dance to this song at his wedding and I will cry renembering those dances with him as an infant. Such a beautiful ballad.

My cousin and me, we used to listen to this song when this came out. We had this on a cassette tape and played it over and over again until it got unplayable. We used to dream big and both him and me did have a stint at singing professionally. Back then there was innocence, hope and a sense of invincibility we both took for granted. We planned our future, marked our future achievements and laughed so hard that we forgot time exists. Evenings of riding around in the city, visiting friends, singing....just joy. Then time led to time and things led onto things and we started our own lives. It wasnt until he died all of a sudden that I realized how much I miss him. How much I wish we hadnt drifted apart. This song reminds me of when I still had that chance to change my future. I wish I did. I wish he was still here.

Richard Marx is awesome. Has an incredible voice. Started listening to him in the 80s n still today sound so incredibly amazing. Such a great talent n God given voice. God bless Richard Marx

What a nice and beautiful song

This is one our 'favourite songs', which brings me both sadness and joy. We loved it when it was first released and then we played it as we walked down the Isle of our 25th renewal of our wedding vows. It was wonderful then and it evokes so many intense and happy memories as it does today. I knew that he was the one for me when we 1st met. My one and only.❤❤ My beautiful husband passed away peacefully in March 2024 and our children and I were there for him. We were married for 42yrs and a couple for 44yrs. He was 'ALWAYS AND FOREVER BE MY MAN' I know you are still here for me and that you always will be. Until we meet again sweetheart 😢

I saw Richard Marx in concert in Medford Oregon in August of 1988. I had started to grow my hair long (like his) going into my senior year of high school and my hair was naturally curly (not sure why). By the time school started my hair was down to my shoulders. Before graduation my mom made me trim it back so it was off my shoulders (this was because my grandparents were attending).
