Hi, Richard Divizio. I really like the way you and your friend played villain and hero in both this and Mortal Kombat.

the first time I saw Mortal Kombat was in the early 90s, the first game, and I was probably 8 years old... it was here in my country, Brazil, in a town called Ribeirão Preto, where I was born, but wasnt living there anymore, since I was 5 or 6. I was there to see my father in the weekend. I asked him to take me to the arcade to play Street Fighter, and then I saw the older boys playing this very realistic game... the guy was playing as Kano and taking the heart out of the oponnent... it blew my mind out.. The first MK character I saw was Kano... and his scream, when he won the fight, it was unbelievable... Im a baritone and metal singer today, and almost 40 years old, but I cant scream like Kano. It was the most awesome thing I ever saw in my life

Thanks, yea, crew wise maybe many were not as seasoned at filming martial arts or have even worked on many films. Yea it makes me wonder if we did something today with a larger production how that would turn out.

I don't have any complains about the picture or lighting. The fight was amazing and the scripts was good and as It was out when I was born. At age 16 now I would love to watch this full. It's hard to buy the DVD in the UK. But if anyone know where I can watch it that would be great because it does have things I wouldn't be interested (Basically Chess Scene) but the fight scenes are cool. Now I am going to try and get the DVD in my country I found out a good price on Ebay in pounds

Hi Richard, are you able to offer any insight into the extended history of this movie? From what I gather it was made in the mid 90s but shelved until the mid-2000s; what happened to the film throughout that time and was the final released version (which has some very choppy and confusing editing) any different from an earlier cut?

It's on DVD but only overseas market. Not USA. Look on Ebay for a copy.

@@OfficialRichardDivizio Hi Richard, thank you so much for your reply, I've owned it on Dutch DVD for many years, but I was curious if you could give any more information as to why it remained unreleased for so long and if there were any changes that took place from when it was originally filmed to the final released version? Also, as an additional query, who was it who got most of the original Mortal Kombat games cast back together for the movie, was that intentional from the beginning or something that happened as production went on?
