Of all the radio detectives, Dick Powell portrayal is the best.

Dick was only one of the best. Philip Marlow ( Gerald Mohr) , Dragnet (Jack Webb) , Sam Spade ( Howard duff), Nero Wolf (Sydney Greenstreet), to name a few great ones. That's what makes this a fun pass time.

So far Its a toss between this show and Jonny Dollar. I listen to these shows before I go to sleep, and I've only scratched the surface. My goodness, radio was great back then. Wish I was here a little earlier to enjoy it all.😃 By the way, did the Delafield weight plan work? If so, where can I get it?😃

I listen to both when I'm going to bed also. Diamond is a bit more comical and obnoxious, which I like. It takes.me back in time when this country was normal, and men were men and women were women, and all of this morality manipulation didn't exist.

Blake Edwards wrote the episodes. He became a big shot in TV and movies later. He can be seen as the guy with the patch over his eye at the party in BREAKFAST AT TIFFANIES. He also directed BAT & DAYS OF WINE & ROSES, PETER GUNN TV series. And lots of others. So put that in your pipe and smoke it.

That unprolific trait that a mortal life is expendable over...money. A greedy relation tries to cover up with serial killings how the Will isn't to change!! It's The 8'clock Killer for Rick 💎, private detective!

The idea is very similar to the ABC murders by Agatha Christie - of course I don't know which one came first!

The voice actor for Walt sounds a lot like Webster from "The Horrible Hamburger" episode of The Saint (Featuring Vincent Price). I was rather surprised to hear Larry Dobkin as the slain Mr Wiess' brother as he was Louie the cab driver in the same episode. However, the list of names in the Saint episode doesn't include Ed Begley.

I think that Walt sounds like Mel Blanc's "normal" voice, but I did a quick Google and see nothing to confirm that.
