Richard Dawson Parody compilation
It's been some time since I've uploaded a video, hasn't it? And wow! Look at that! It's not an AMV! Sorry to folks who may have expected one.
Although, I may try my hand at that video making again sometime. ;^)
But since this is a description for this PARTICULAR video. I might as well talk about this one. If you've known me for more than five seconds, you'd know that I absolutely LOVE Richard Dawson. He's my idol, my celebrity crush, favorite person, ect, ect. And I always have fun finding other shows reference him in things! But I got the idea to make a compilation of these clips when my brother was telling me that there was a parody skit of Richard Dawson on the Family Feud on "Robot Chicken" (I don't know what episode it is, sorry!). And I was confused about two things. One, why wouldn't my brother tell me this? He knows how much I love him. And two, I didn't remember a skit involving Richard on Robot Chicken? So after searching for it online, I finally found it. And it made me wonder, does any other Richard Dawson fans know about this? So, I just made this in case they haven't seen any of these!
These are all the ones that I know of right now. If I discover more in other TV shows and such, I'll be sure to update or reupload this video with more clips! I was also going to add the clip of Steve Harvey in his Family Feud era mentioning Richard Dawson and how he was the host that kissed the ladies. But I couldn't find a clip of it that was in good quality so I didn't add it.
And just a small trivia. My brother also asked me out of all the ones that were in this video, which is my favorite? I honestly liked the Robot Chicken one the best OR the Match Game Family Guy clip.
My least favorite is the Family Guy one where their on Family Feud. Just because the voice imitation sounds nothing like Richard and plus inaccuracies as well as other things I didn't appreciate. . .But, I added it anyways for your viewing pleasures! It's also the longest and what makes this video so long. The clip's 4 minutes long! And really, that's MOST of the video! But I don't think there's a good quality of that clip either. So, here y'all go!

Richard Dawson was a creep and a predator. I was watching an old episode on game show channel where he wrote a love poem to one of the young girls in one of the guest families on the show show. The girl looked around 17 or 18 years old and was totally embarrassed.....it was unnerving and creepy as hell.
The peeps at "Family Guy" REALLY did their homework in rendering Richard Dawson-era "Feud" set!! Brava!! :-)

People say they family guy is awful nowadays because of the awful jokes ( which it kind of is) but I think people hate it because it's probably the last show on tv to say whatever the hell they want and get away with it

Interesting fact: Both 9/11 and Christmas fall on the same day of the week every year. (In 2001, both dates were on a Tuesday).

Also Bush in the classroom when he found out while teacher was having the kids repeatedly say as she read kite must hit steel. And if you look up here on KZread the Back to the Future movie and 911. It shows a bunch of predictions of 911 and this was a movie made in the 80s. There is also free Mason creater the Simpson episode where he there are holding a magazine and it shows the towers and makes out 911. It is so obvious and I think lots know it was inside job but it still amazes me that some deny this even if you show them the evidence.
There was also a Sesame Street game show sketch called "Family Food". And Richard Dawson hosted the sketch.

+alderete422 While Richard Dawson was a little incorrectly drawn (Richard usually only had a pinkie finger ring. He never wore more than one ring on his hand.) I was impressed by how accurate the set was drawn. Everything was perfect. So I really admired that. :'^)

@@SnipsySnips though, there were still some inaccuraties. 1. The music itself is actually the combs era theme (the dawson era didn't have the upbeat percussion) 2. Where's the fiddle theme when Gene Wood (he was the announcer for "Family Feud" back then) introduced the families and when a round starts? 3. 2:34 Even the strike sound effect was different, but it sounds close 4. 3:40 The Flipdots would first reveal the answer in a sliding fashion then reveal the points
I was about to comment that Richard Dawson wasn't the host of Match Game but then I realized he was on the panel.

You missed the one from the one of the first three seasons of Family Guy where Peter is playing the host of Family Feud and feels up one of the female contestants. Also, I never understood why they had Richard Dawson and the old-style set like it was some episode out of the 80s even though the episode takes place some time in the 2000s.

+Azeus XIV Yes, he is that 'fucker'. He kissed the women. (Sometimes men as well if they ask). And he's not 'trying' to kiss kids like you're saying. Richard only kissed the kids for luck. He's said that before. The reason WHY he kissed them women in the first place was because one day, there was a VERY nervous woman who couldn't say anything. And he /kissed/ her to calm her down. Then the other woman in the family asks 'where's my kiss?' So he kisses them so they WON'T feel left out. It's not like he even MAKES OUT with the contestants. He just gives them a REALLY QUICK KISS. Like a peck! He doesn't stick his tongue in anyone's mouths or anything. It's an INNOCENT KISS. There's nothing wrong with a peck. And not only that, but he always asks for permission before the show. (Which is why if you actually watch the show, you actually see there ARE times where he doesn't kiss a girl. But it's rare...Because who would turn down a kiss from Richard?) So I'm sure the parents were okay with it. There was a joke in Bob's Burgers' "Family Fracas" episode where a male TV exec of a fictional game show references and imitates Richard Dawson where he kisses the male host when he entered the exec's office to bring up a complaint. Though, no actual Dawson though.

Yeah for "luck" even when the kids said they didn't want to kiss. Yet he still tried to kiss them (on the lips) and they dodged it and were clearly very uncomfortable.

actually Dawson kissed kids on the lips on the show any time they came to play on the show. If you knew he man and his mannerisms, you wouldn't think it was too weird for back then, but if you're just watching now and see it, it can seem really off putting. Dawson was full of charisma and had a big thing for kissing. It was just who he was. he made it all look normal and it rarely seemed awkward. Nobody else is or ever was like him
