I'd like to give Rashad Mcants "his flowers". He really showed what he brings to Gil's Arena in this episode. His questions and sincerity brought a lot to this amazing conversation with Mr. Rich Paul. Man oh man, the end of Season 1 raised the bar for this Podcast! Mad respect and props to the entire crew.

I didn’t think it was sincerity. It was impressive that he was able to express his thoughts clearly but I felt he was being a yes man and in awe of Rich. There was many “mm hmm” and “exactly”. He was less inquisitive and just like happy to be here and able to say he has a relationship with the guy. But that fits the description they gave him on the P Bev episode. He’s not a follower but he does just wanna be down. Just my thoughts, not discrediting yours.

Agreed. He asked the most inquisitive questions and really asked the questions you wanted to know. Besides Kenyon, he kept the interview really engaged. It's not like they got into technical and legal stuff. It was basically barbershop conversation. Lebron surrounded Rich with lawyers and advisers and they're probably on RP's speed dial to call for technical support. Had he sat down with guys like David Falk, an actual lawyer, the guy who pioneered the modern day NBA contract structuring, marketing and money management, to pick his brain, Rich probably would get a nose bleed and stop the interview everytime he gets asked a technical questions and call his advisers for additional info.

You could literally be a luggage carrier and coffee maker for Rich and learn more Business game than you would in any business school. The man is disappointed that there aren't enough aspiring business owners asking him for advice, I mean what else can one ask for! His parents name him Rich for a reason! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Stop acting like he's a self made super agent. Lebron made him to be an agent, lebron surrounded him with the best advisers, lawyers who actually know the technical and legal aspects of contract and negotiations. I bet to this day he has ivy league guys on speed dial that he calls for technical support. He's no David Falk and David Falk pretty much pioneered the modern NBA contract structuring, marketing and money management.

I remember during the Lamar Jackson contract disputes people saying players don't need agents. The mega-stars may not need agents, but I hope people can see the value of a great agent like Rich for the lower-drafted or undrafted players who often times don't get guaranteed money. A good agent can help an lesser-known player get to the right situation and maximize their career, when those players may not have the vision of where they fit the best, or just need a team to give them a chance.
