Apparently they are good friends so I wouldn't completely rule it out. Apparently Bill has stated that he's fine with just coaching and not handling all the personnel. The Cowboys have had a lot of talent so that may not be a problem. Jones has also given long leashes to head coaches. While Belichick does not put up with silly nonsense, I have watched him be quite open to other people's ideas. Everyone that has actually worked with him always says he is very accepting of ideas from others. He isn't nearly the 'my way or the highway' guy the media makes him out to be. Kraft has always been a bit of a strange owner, something Parcells wouldn't put up with, but Belichick handled it for 2 decades.

If you're talking about Bill, he is still a great head coach, no doubt about that. I wouldn't ask him to rebuild an offense just like I wouldn't ask Andy Reid to build a defense. Bill has always been the clear leader of the Patriots thru 6 sb wins. Everyone there knew who the team leader was. Of course Brady was the key leader on the field for the offense and the Pats also had players as leaders on defense and special teams. That is all by design, the design of Belichick. You need to have players that are leaders on the field, Bill doesn't put up with losers or idiots which is why the Boston media hates him.

Bill gushed about Lamar and a lot of our Ravens on roster back before the 2022 matchup in New England. If Harbs goes against the grain in another big game and gets canned, Baltimore seems like a franchise that wouldn't mind Bill's hardass mentality, but would flourish under it. He was also the last coach of ours before we offically became the Ravens, aka the original Browns. Would be quite the "ending it with a bang" he'd like if he and EDC could co-exist.

Most people viewed Madden when he was a coach like Belichick is viewed, before he started broadcasting. Then look how that changed. And the Patriots with their Massage Parlor owner are going to be wondering in the desert for decades before they find the promised land again. For crying out loud, they fire the BEST coach in history because he had a few bad seasons. And they replace him with a DEI hire who has NEVER even been a coordinator and models himself after Belechick, the real thing!!!!!!!!! And I love how everyone says Bill could not handler personnel, YET, it was HE who handled the personnel that produced two decades of championships!!

Everything you say Rich seems to completely miss the most obvious thing holding him back. Which is that he's 72 man. It's literally that simple. He's not gonna be a head coach again because he's too old now. I know you don't want to say it, but nobody wants a coach knocking on death's door. He should do media, that way he's a valuable resource to ALL OF US before it's too late.

Unless he settled out a buyout before he left New England which in either case got him Millions of dollars. So he's well off and now with espn having him host this year's NFL draft he's gonna showcase his wealth of knowledge and a network will hire him soon to either be an analyst/commentator or a play by play guy.

There is a good reason no one offered B. a job.-his terrible decisions/record in the last 3-5 years. He had total control of all Patriot decisions and created the weakest roster in the AFC with terrible drafting. He hired a collection of stooges for OC and other jobs who had one of the worst offenses in the NFL. They destroyed Mac Jones’s career. His “brilliant” in game coaching produced one of the worst W/L records in the NFL the last 3-5 years. All coaches run out of answers or pridefully/arrogantly can’t adapt. B. is a prime example of this. The end of his career was like the beginning.

Joe Gibbs won 3 Super Bowls with 3 different quarterbacks. Belichick before he got to England and did not have Tom Brady and after Tom Brady left New England is way under 500 as a coach. That's a fact. If Jerry Jones doesn't screw up the Cowboys Jimmy Johnson has at least 4 or 5 Super Bowls with a team that he built from a personnel standpoint and coached. Vince Lombard did unbelievable things in Green Bay and never got busted by the NFL for doing things he should not have been doing like Belichick did. Belichick is a very good defensive coordinator who got lucky that he had the best quarterback of all time to play on the team he was coaching.

The guy will be 73 years old, which coach won anything at 73? What about Bill's last 10 drafts makes anyone think he can build a team? Could he come in for 1 year and maybe coach the Cowboys? Sure, he can't do worse than Mike McCarthy, but beyond that would be silly giving a guy his age, who has drafted no one, and seemed out of touch with the players a franchise that needs to be rebuilt.

I'm late to this party but IMO, Belichick should never again be trusted with a HC position. He's borderline megalomaniacal, and a cancer in any position of authority. I would hire him as a DC with very minimal authority only. He's also a HUGE hypocrite. He expects EVERYONE ELSE to be accountable and team driven so, WHY ISN'T HE??!! It's abundantly clear that Belichick is a brilliant Narcissist. He's the best defensive and tactical mind the game has ever seen, but he has NO respect for offense and offensive players, and NO respect for the Owner that employs him. He has repeatedly undermined what was best for the team while claiming otherwise. Sitting Malcolm Butler in SB 52 threw ALL Players under the Bus! How was that best for the TEAM?! Players are human and all different. It's a HC duty to manage personalities and CREATE an atmosphere of SUCCESS for overall TEAM benefit! Ruining the starting QB consciously or unconsciously because he isn't "your guy" is Textbook NARCISSISM and absolutely NOT what is “BEST” for the TEAM! Belichick does what is best for his EGO! He may have cut his football teeth under Navy Athletics, and he may THINK he runs a team modeled on the military, but he does NOT! He FORGOT that EVERY serviceman swears an oath and is accountable to a higher authority! The Admiral or General, may not agree with or even respect The President, but it's their duty to their country to follow orders and to NEVER undermine or subvert “The Boss” or the MEN under their command. Belichick repeatedly does both. IMO, players were willing to endure the "Belichick Way" because they believed TB12 ensured a legitimate SB shot year after year. Yes, the defenses were equally important to the repeated success, but The GOAT was the GLUE that held it all together. When the glue dissolved, it unsurprisingly fell apart.
