Darnold was just ahead of the curve with the quarantining a year before everyone.

I always thought mono was just an ongoing joke of 80s and 90s sitcoms. It disappeared entirely from the zeitgeist for two decades until Sam Darnold went around licking stuff in the locker room.

It actually makes total sense why Darnold contracted mono, and it wasnt from kissing. You can ALSO get it through contact with someone else's sweat. I got mono when I was 17 from a public gym because I didnt wipe down the workout machines before I used them. Im assuming Sam got on a machine in the workout room that some sweaty lineman was using and contracted it.

Rich sounds like he's gonna cry in the car on the way home.

Mono is a viral infection. Antibiotics don’t cure viruses, in the case the Epstein Barr virus. But there are secondary infections that can happen with mono such as strep. So antibiotics would be given then. I have no idea how severe Sam’s mono is but even when he is feeling better, the condition of his spleen can keep him down longer plus it can take a couple of months to get back to full steam. Rich’s reaction is priceless. Damn this man is awesome!

So the pundits gonna now pretend like they weren’t screaming “the sky is falling” when the GIANTS didn’t draft Sam Darnold but drafted Daniel Jones instead 🤔

Hey, I'm life long NY Jets fan going back to Joe Namath's days- Let's face it, a rash of injuries to quarterbacks this season is a reminder of how fragile the fate of an NFL team can be. Ben Roethlisberger is out for the season, Drew Brees is out for seven weeks. Jet's Sam Darnold is out with mono. His backup, Trevor Siemian, is done for the year and Nick Foles will miss three months. It's time to stop whiteballing Colin Kaepernick from the NFL. I believe most all other Jets fans will agree with me, Sign up Colin Kaepernick and salvage what's left of the 2019 season. If other fans agree with me, comments welcome!
