Sane Charger fan here for 50 years, since '73. We've played in ONE SB, underdogs by 17 and couldn't cover the spread. Justin had to put up numbers cause we couldn't run the ball or stop the run or the pass. It's all about winning and I don't think Justin cares if his numbers drop if we're winning. Look up Justin's record when our D holds teams under 28 points. With a running game and stopping the run we'll control the clock and win games. What the heck is your guy there meaning by 'that's not today's game'? The damage to Herbert's body these last few seasons should make it evident we need to protect him or lose him.

I'm with you, not a fan for as long as you., But I've been here since 1988. I watched the blood bath that was the Super Bowl. The Chargers have never had all the pieces in place simultaneously. When our Offense was good, we didn't have a defense. When we have had a defense, our offense has stunk. We have never had any emphasis on the O-line and D-line. Football is won and lost in the trenches. If this team gets the lines correct, they will build a winner.

I'm hoping that Arizona takes Harrison because that would make the Chargers number five pick even more valuable. There will still be a number of teams desperate to pick up a QB and might be willing to give the Chargers the picks that they need to fill some holes. As far as Herbert is concerned he will obviously have a better running game to help set up play action and convert those third and fourth down situations that they sucked on in recent years. I'm hoping that the Bolts pick up a wide out and a right tackle in the early rounds, but also an impact player on defense as well. I like the moves I've seen so far, but until they improve the defense they can only hope for a wide card spot in the playoffs.

I think it's awesome that the "3 - yards and a cloud of dust" football philosophy is back. Shotti got fired over it (partly) and this organization hasn't been the same since he left. This team went to the Super Bowl with Natron Means. The best team other than that featured LT. Hell, Fouts had Muncie. This team needs a run game. Pretty sure the only stat Herbert and crew care about at this point is Ws v. Ls. Harbaugh's track record is pretty damned good so the likelihood they are in the playoffs next year are pretty good. All we heard about leading up to free agent season was how the Chargers were in cap hell. Now they aren't. Yeah, they lost Mike Williams and Keenan Allen. But Williams has been injured a lot anyway and Keenan was in the last year of his contract. They got a 4th for that guy so yeah, Hortiz is making big-boy moves. So yeah, trust the process, trust the coaches, trust this GM. It's different which scares people but why do the same old thing that keeps not working? Spot on! Travis Kelce actually doesn't like contact! He will catch a ball and either flop to the ground instantly or run out of bounds. Plus, the SB revealed his frustration when denied the ball. You could argue that Mahomes interception early in the 2nd half was a result of Kelce having a massive sulk at not getting the ball. The pass was overthrown and turned over. Press Kelce hard! And call him out for running his mouth all the time and instigating pushing and shoving (again, SB, hes in every scuffle yet no flags). The trouble is that Mahomes is the NFL poster boy and will be protected. Massive sulk if he doesn't get his way with the refs.

No TE in the league is Bowers when he has the ball in his hands. He becomes a monster. He is Derrick Henry after the catch. Bowers at 6 and then get a stud WR in the 2nd. Respectfully disagree. Here is the draft logic: This is why the Bolts will dictate how the entire draft plays out. Essentially, the Bolts can block the cards from trading up to 5 if the Vikings trade with the cards up to 4. Which would prevent the Cards from selecting MHJ. Discussions have taken place between the Bolts and cards about making a trade? Of course they have. During these discussions the Bolts can say we will not allow you to trade up to 5 and select MHJ. Theirby preventing the cards from selecting MHJ at all. When it’s clear this is the player Arizona covets. This will result in Arizona selection MHJ and a strong possibility of the Chargers trading out of 5 with a team like Minnesota or NYG. The only way I can see these scenarios from playing out is if the Pats and Cards swap pics.

7:30 Rich as a chargers fan, I love Keenan Allen. He is NOT a hall of famer. C'mon man.

Trade JH and get extra picks then draft JJ with 5th pick to ensure winless season for years to come. JJ...what a joke Marvin Harrison played big consistently vs key opponents. Rome Odunze, he was good at times and disappeared at times in big games

Funny you mention trading Herbert. I have a feeling if this season is a flop, then Herbert needs to go

Hes got a no trade clause and would be a $120 million cap hit if you did trade him, so he's not going anywhere. Dont be a casual.

Harbaugh should trade the farm to move up and draft his boy JJ. Or was he lying when he declared him the best overall player in the draft

Wouldn’t it be fun if the Chargers shock everyone and draft JJ McCarthy?

Not a casual. Rams, with 11 picks, move up to 5. Bolts take UCLA’s DE Latu @ #19, for a #1 in ‘25.
