This saddens me because Richie and I were once bandmates in the old Irish Hibernian Club bagpipe band in NJ .. I moved out of state and lost touch ... Richie was one of the good ones , may God Bless him .... I always felt safe marching with Rich no matter what neighborhoods we marched through , because you know how everyone asks what we wear under our kilt ? Well , Rich wore his big service 9mm under his kilt .. he kept us safe... Yes, we were an Irish band ( Hibernian club) and we wore green , and we played as many Irish tunes as we possibly could with our Scottish pipes that play in that weird Scottish flatted 7th scale and we didn't worry about Irish vs Scottish because we were just proud to be Celts in this messed up world ...
@Arthurian.

Wow this is amazing! I worked with Rich and he was such a funny, sweet and kind man. I would ask him how his grandbabies were doing, his face would light up and he would show me pictures of them. He was a proud grandpa. I looked forward to hearing all his funny stories, he would have me in tears laughing. God I can't believe he's gone. I'm really going to miss him. Rest in Heaven Rich. Whiskey, and even the language, for Gaelic means old Irish which is spoken there today. the family name Mc + Mac which is daughter or grand daughter off just like ò is for Son off. many of these families had settled in Scotland. So Scotland is like a clone of Ireland. hope this has helped you. ich wünsche dir einen schönen Tag 🤗
