Rice is their main food grain, before electric motor introduced they are practicing the same procedure still today with a wooden made morter and pestal . i
It is a laborious workbut along with singing a folk lore its a way of community gathering a amusement also.
In search of living fossils the missing links journey towards a mystery.
Aoleang Festival is Celebrated by the Konyak Tribes of Mon District Nagaland in the first week of April every year.
Still, they are practicing the same traditions from the past. It is a New year welcoming festival before the new sowing season is yet to be started there.
We were going there to the Mon district of Nagaland and we have also a plan to visit Longwa village which is lying there at the Indo-Myanmar border there in the same district Mon Nagaland
It was the second day of our journey. After spending a long miserable night without food there at Mon town. We were getting started for Longwa.
The rituals of the festival take place for many days but the prime sacrifices and gathering starts in the first week of April. This festival is one of the most celebrated festivals in the state. Konyak tribe almost depends on farms and they get a day-to-day income from harvested food grain. Aoleang is a festival to worship the Goddess so they can harvest plenty of crops and the Goddess survive floods or droughts. They pray to the almighty to save the crops from insects and animals and protect humans from accidents or mishaps.
Our plan is to visit there at LONGWA one village there at the Indo Myanmar border. But somehow on our way to Longwa we met beautiful people Chengu Konyak and his friend from the same Konyak tribe but in a different village Chenloisho. And we got offered to go their village. It was an unforgettable journey. The beautiful people met there I'll never forget for the rest of my life.
My travels are for the people to the people and so on .....
There are a lot of good people in this world, I still believe. I have met a lot of good people on my journey and it is here.

Being a raw traveler Ami Bhabaghure I like to describe to you my own story
I am a vagabond in the literary sense. I never settled. The Globe Trotter.
I have no permanent shelter. I consider myself the same. My traveling interest in people's places cultures food and festival. You will get to see Especially the linear peoples and their semi-primitive cultures. Mainly will see myself interacting with the people on my way travel. Even I like to live with them as they are used to live.
My journey started from there where the least people know about the people and their culture.
