Halloween is a fun time to let your bird try something different like pumpkin which is safe to eat as well as the seeds, in moderation of course. Just be sure to wash the pumpkin thoroughly incase of any pesticides.

Hi I was hoping you could help me out cause I’m kinda new and need some clarification. My Indian ringneck is shivering. But my room doesn’t feel cold. Are they more sensitive to temperatures than us or is it possible he’s sick. He doesn’t always do it but at least once a day I find him huddled up puffed and shaking sometimes with one leg up which I assume is because he’s cold but I’m not sure. I’ve only had him 2 weeks so I’m not sure if it’s unusual for him

He could be cold and trying to stay warm. Is his cage near any cold drafts?

Here is a video I did on how to keep your bird warm during the winter months, hope it helps. Birds do tend to shiver if they are cold, especially when the weather changes. @@Riccothegreenpiedirn it was close to a window (not right beside it though) but I moved him to my main part of my room and he still seems cold. If he’s doing something else he’s fine tho I only notice when he sits still. He’s still eating fine and playing lots.

@@taylor6266Could just be he is trying to stay warm when resting, just keep an eye on him. Perhaps purchase him a natural Seagrass happy hut to rest in. I can’t share a photo but try looking for it online. Ricco loves his and it’s safe for them.
