Fun fact: Blueberries like a lot of other fruit get their colour from Antho-Cyanine a compound that makes fruits appear as reds, purples, and blues, and I think it's the only compound that can produce blues. The color changes depending on it's acidity/base. I think you should try adding a bit of red into your blueberry, it would also steer it away from green and give it that more realistic dark blue with a hint of red.

Ribbon candy is so pretty -- I always love the satiny look of the pulled candy, and the ribbon candy really makes the most of that.

Similar to the Heartache Tonight story, an old coworker thought it was "Party on, tell me you remember. Party on, dancin in September" and I got the pleasure of telling her it's literally just gibberish.

Such beautiful candy. Julia does an awesome job twisting those ribbons. My order should come tomorrow. Thanks, Craig and crew, for another fun vidya.

A funny story time: I had a co-worker who made sweet tea with salt not once but two different times. The first time was the best. An older customer had gotten a cup of sweet tea at our self-serve drink station. I had come out of the kitchen to get dishes or something walking past the drink station, and the customer stops me and says " Something is wrong with the tea. I don't know which container it came from because I tried from both, but I it tastes like I'm drinking the ocean!". Puzzled and with us both giggling I told her "Let me go grab a cup and I'll check it out" Tried the unsweet not a problem, tried the "sweet" and probably made the same exact face they did, said "Yep that's the ocean!" (we normally put at least two cups of sugar in our 4gal dispenser depending on who made it) Got her a new cup toss the salty batch out and made a fresh one with sugar this time. We laughed it off and let her know when the fresh batch was ready.

Just got my first order of y’all‘s ribbon candy in the mail and I must say it is absolutely delicious and made it mostly intact all the way to Meigs Georgia. Keep up the excellent work love the vids and the candy. Thank you.

When the song came out we use to think it was party tonight. Great song on way to party.

*speculating* if you bought a paper guillotine, you could take the cutting arm off and then mount it to the table so Quick Steve only has to pull a lever down instead of scrambling for the scissors every time. Might be easier on the hands, I get Repetitive Motion issues.

Love ti see how you professionals make your boiled candies! We are just about to make our yearly portions of hard-candy today - it’s a christmas tradition in my family. We make between 6-8 batches (teeeny batches in size compared to yours). My favorites are the ones with licorice powder in them (is there a reason you do not make that?) My nephews and nieces prefer the fruity ones - and a candyfloss-tasting one :) A question if you see this; what are the white gloves you use made of, and where do you get yours from? Love getting inspiration from you!

Yes, it can be. There are pipes underneath that allow hot water to pass through for heating up.

The table where the boiling sugar is poured it is chilled with coolant pipes underneath to cool down the super hot liquefied sugar so it can be worked with , at boiling temp it's 350°F which is extremely dangerous to work with so in order to mold it you need to cool it.
