RIAT 2023: BEST OF ARRIVALS & TAKE OFFS 4K (airshowvision)

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Very extensive coverage of Thursday's arrivals and validation day at the RIAT Airshow 2023 from RAF Fairford in England. Shot in high quality 4K UHD and fully edited to my usual standard.
There are dozens and dozens of aircraft on this video, ranging from light aircraft to the giant bombers and transport aircraft of the world's air forces, plus helicopters of all shapes and sizes, and of course the mighty front line fighter jets.
I have concentrated on the arrivals more than the validation displays, however the take-offs and some favourite moves are included here, with the Dassault Rafale very much playing a starring role with its' absolutely epic practise display - my favourite moves are included here.
Aircraft to look out for on this video are the Five F-35's from the UK, US and Dutch Air Forces, the Four AV8-B Harriers from the Italian and Spanish Air Forces, multiple Typhoons from Qatar, UK, Kuwait, Italy, and German Luftwaffe (one has a very special Israel themed colour scheme.)
Display clips include the Finnish F18 Hornet, the Swdish Gripen, the Italian AF M346 and EF2000 Typhoon, The Me262, the Spanish AV8-B Harriers, the Belgian F16, and the French Dassault Rafale C.
One very special Typhoon is the brand-new example from the Qatar Air Force with a stunning camo paint scheme.
The vintage segment includes a Polish AF Sukhoi SU22 Fitter, and the very special Messersmitt Me262 replica making probably it's first ever visit to a UK air show, and the take-off is included here, plus a couple of display clips!
Huge transport aircraft are coming and going throughout this video, including A400's (including a Belgian example), Hercules, and the giant C-17 from the UAE taking off.
AIr Forces assets featured on this video include RAF, USAF, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Belgian, Dutch, Romanian, Swedish, Finland, Czech, Poland, Canada, UAE, Qatar, and many more . . .
Despite the horrific weather at RIAT 2023, this day was not bad with only the occasional light shower and a fair bit of sun!

At present there are only nine original Me-262s left, all of them in museums, and only one is working (the one in the Flying Heritage Collection, in Everett, USA, which is in the process of being restored so that it can return to fly with its original Jumo 004 engines). In addition, two Avia S-92 (the Czechoslovakian version) are preserved in a museum in the Czech Republic. However, it is still possible to see some Me-262s fly, as the American company Texas Airplane Factory has built five replicas of the Me-262 in the last 20 years, and at least three of them are in airworthy, although not with Jumo 004 engines, but with General Electric CJ610 turbojets. One of those replicas is a Me 262B-1c (the W.Nr.501244, D-IMTT), which is owned by the Messerschmitt Foundation, created in 1969 by Willy Messerschmitt, the designer of the Me- 262 and the even more famous Bf-109. Hopefully the one in Everett, USA will be airworthy by 2028 (That is the goal) .

It would be great if the original could fly again, but maybe not wise to use the original engines as they are reportedly extremely unreliable - very brave men flew these jets in WWII

@@airshowvision Billionaire Paul Allen spared no expense in many of his restorations for his museum. The Jumo engines for his Me-262 were overhauled in California for short display flights, and with some new-manufactured material. His passing and closing of the museum had slowed down many interesting projects like the Me-262 and Stuka. Another wealthy investor has reopened the museum recently.
