Rhythm Roulette: Matt Martians | Mass Appeal

Ойын-сауық

We caught up with producer, illustrator, and Odd Future member Matt Martians Good Records on Manhattan's Lower East Side. (Aside from his contributions to Odd Future, Martians is also a member of The Jet Age of Tomorrow, The Super D3Shay, and the Grammy-nominated group The Internet. He released his solo debut 'The Drum Chord Theory' on Three Quarters Records this past January.)
You know the drill: MM was blindfolded, instructed to choose three records, and then turned loose in the studio to see what kind of beat he could cook up. Martians ended up with some diverse picks-and funky album art to boot. "Look at that shit, man! That shit screams the '70s," Martians said of 'The Essential Jimmy Rushing', just one of the three random records he chopped up on this week's edition of Rhythm Roulette.

You can tell Tyler learned a lot from this guy, he derived a lot of his musical style and taste from him. He produced odd futures first mixtape btw.
