Rhythm Roulette: araabMUZIK | Mass Appeal
Ойын-сауық
For this episode of Rhythm Roulette, Mass Appeal linked up with araabMUZIK.
If you start making music for the Diplomats before you're supposed to graduate from high school, you better pray that you're consistently at the top of your game. That's what araabMUZIK has been doing and then some. The Rhode Island producer has made a name for himself, in more than one way. His live MPC sets are dizzying and his imagination behind the boards is still expanding. He also miraculously survived a gunshot to the head in an attempted robbery in Harlem earlier in February. But he pushed through and released his album Dream World in July and produced Joe Budden's last album Rage & The Machine.
As you can assume, it was only a matter of time before we got araab for Rhythm Roulette. We hit up Moodies Records in the Bronx and ended up with CDs from Blue Magic, Diana Ross & The Supremes, and The Dramatics (he's not messing with vinyl). Then back at the studio with his AKAI MPC,
araabMUZIK chops up samples and does what he does best. Layer after layer, he builds in his signature sound and producer drops for what could be the intro to the next Dipset album.

@@apep.8555 LOL don’t entertain people’s delusions. That’s why we have so much garbage polluting the music spaces today. Instead of working hard to become competent they publish trash and praise other trash to lower the bar for themselves.

Myron Queen i don't think he's referring to his drum samples, but his drum patterns and playing. Arrab plays the drums, he's a really good drummer on a real live kit. So when he makes beats it translates in his rhythm and timing. As far as drum samples go, everyone and anyone can get and has drums like that. the way here tweaks his sounds whilst playing them is just amazing
araab and just blaze are just another level. simply the best in what they do
That Dramatics cd brought me back to when my uncle used to live with us and would get drunk off a 40 oz of king cobra and kick back and play their album and chop it up. Good times
How he remembers whats on each pad is beyond me. Love how he vibes whilst creating. Araab Muzik and Rsonist are a vibe
Wow, one of the best RR's yet, sheesh!! 🔥

Henrique Lopes I sample off CDs lol. My older sister has a 10 year collection of just R&B and soul CDs so I was like why not use them

Henrique Lopes props for the originality but I would just pull up the cd on Spotify and sample from that . Seems like it would be easier
This video proves a few things. You finally get a sought after producer to do an episode and y'all still nitpick and shit on him for the smallest of things. Dude created a dope beat. He could have walked into the Cumbia or Classic rock section and done equal amount of dopeness. Just saying. Be thankful this show is still on.

He had lay-up beats to work with, but he completely smashed. HIs command and control of his apparatus is high-level.
I always come back to this one. I truly think DIlla would speak highly of this guy if he was still around.
One of my top fav producers! I dig his creativity..
Sounds like this should be Jay Electronica's next part in his "Exhibit" series..
