Too fair! we fought against Vikings for far FAR longer then the British! The Vikings of Norway tried to Invade on a large scale over 7 times lost every time! Spanish had a go lost too! The Gaels in further West just continued speaking gaelic and ignored both catholicism and protestantism, they acknowledge Jesus as another god along side the old gods they were neo-Celt Christians and technically ireland is still neo-Celt Christian, it's what makes us a celtic nation, unlike France and Spain that are just straight catholic. British rule is only a very small part of Ireland history and the least interesting In my opinion! there is almost 7000 years of history on this Island, the Anceint Greeks use to call Ireland the ancient isle back in their time
