Chris Laurita has something to do with it. He was the only one who knew from jump there was a financial issue. He was the one who arranged the meeting with Joe and the guy he told to go scratch. He knew of how much money joe owed. He did. Teresa. did not know

I said it in season one when she had 20,000 dollars in cash buying furniture. That’s money not on the books, and doing this on t.v. is stupid. Anyone who owns a business knows how to “accept cash payment “ but to be seen on t.v. spending it. Most of us (I hope) knew what time it was.

Of course she’s going to say that you idiot otherwise she would’ve went to jail for a long time. It’s really simple, they all are involved in criminal activities or have some in with the Italian Mob (Lauritas, Manzos,Gudicies) they all been friends for over 15 years before the show started and they all have some inkling of each other breaking the law. Teresa became famous the moment she flipped that table, which made her the household name of RHONJ. Them being jealous of the fact that all these magazines and Ad campaigns were calling her the most, they speak with the feds to hint that her finances are incorrect. It’s that simple. Because Teresa wasn’t hit with lawsuit until like season 3. And in the reunion of Season 7 Jacquline’s husband Chris revealed that he was the one in contacts with the guy who went to the feds. Teresa told Andy that the guy who went to the feds ( a friend of Chris’s) told Teresa that Jacqueline and Caroline would speak to him. She isn’t just making this out of thin air.

people don’t go to jail for her crime, as they have said MULTIPLE times. MULTIPLE. She went to prison because the public by watching the show decided that they hated her. And her friends and her family are responsible for that

I actually believe it was Teresa and Joe's flaunting of high end materialistic things that led to them getting busted. When they did that, that caught the attention of people that did business with Joe and got burned by him. I suspect those people were the ones that notified the Feds.
