Instead of that why not compare it with your other facial features and see how it compliments and balances out your face? If you wear it, try to go a while with no or minimal makeup and face your features. Try to remember what made you feel good about them before. If you want your face to have an effect like being cute, look at your nose and see the different ways it does that, maybe it achieves another neat aesthetic too. There’s nothing wrong with plastic surgery but it sounds like you want to do it to please others and because of their influence. Changing something permanently for others is dangerous. Another thing to consider is that the insecurities brought on by the comments might make you irrationally critical about the size, and it’s smaller than you think it is. I hope you can ignore the comments and learn to embrace what you have again ❤️. I have a wide nose with a straight nose bridge that looks hooked sometimes, basically the opposite of an egirl nose. I make jokes about it and so do others around me (not maliciously). I know it’s big so I find ways to make its size an advantage. The above tips helped me a lot to embrace it 😊

You don’t need to do surgery for nose , i can see how painful it is .... insecurity won’t go away ... it need to be treated from root cause , if you fix your nose , people would pick some thing else ., be contented and proud what you have naturally,. Sorry to hear about your family’s comments but may be they are just doing fun families do that often ( although it’s not fun ) My all family has not perfect noses and I am married to a man who and his family have perfect nose , they are v proud of their nose assets 🤩 but I enjoy when some one pokes on my nose , I don’t take it serious as I have been raised in a family where physical flawas were not the cause of any insecurity, relax and love your self , you are very unique, no one can match the other , every one is so different

The pain is incredibly minimal, in my case it was just slight discomfort. The worst I had was a stuffy nose and black eyes for about 2 weeks. The pain was barely 1/10.

I read a thousand of reviews that says it's not painful. Just tell your doctor how you like it to be handled. When I get mine, I want to be asleep with no pain at all.

I had a rhinoplasty done when I was 21. I am sixty-four now, the procedure has improved a lot since my surgery. My surgeon drew pictures of how he planned your surgery to look when healed. He did a great job, I have never regretted having the surgery.

I had a rhinoplasty, and it was an open procedure. Closed procedures were popular in the 70’s. My plastic surgeon told me most plastic surgeons do the open procedure.

I’ve done the closed procedure 2 and a half months ago. My doctor told me that the closed procedure is harder to administer as it needs more precision. But it’s better for the patient as the closed surgery causes much less swelling and the nose heals faster from it than the open procedure. The open one, where the nose is cut and lifted off the face, creates more shocks to the body and the heart specifically. So anyone with heart problems should request the closed surgery. They say that the doctor can achieve minimal changes using the closed procedure, but that’s not always the case. My nose has changed A LOT! I had a meaty, thick skinned nose. Now I have an up turned, slim nose with a nicely done, small tip. My doctor is an absolute artist to have achieved all that in a closed surgery! Absolutely brilliant! I’d say to people to find such surgeon, instead of those who only know how to do an open one! It’s a lot easier for them to do! No next level precision needed! That is why they have become so many of those surgeons out there!

So I had to hire a translator who came with me to my appointments and to the hospital to do pre-procedure’s preparation from blood analysis and x-rays. It is well known amongst the Middle Eastern region that Iranians are pioneers in the field of rhinoplasty and other cosmetic surgeries. It’s been 6 and a half months since I’ve had my surgery. My nose has changed a lot since I wrote the above comment. A lot slimmer, the tip is way nicer as almost all the swelling had gone down. Still tender to the touch but not as tender as it was! I absolutely love it. My doctor is a bit old in age, and everyone told me to opt for a younger doctor as the option are many in Iran. But I had done research on this particular doctor and have came into the conclusion from girls’s reviews of him, that his specialty is the nose tip!! Making it perfect yet natural! No fake Ms piggy nose. Barbie nose yet natural! I can’t be happier with my choice of doctor. His name is Amir Abbas Lotfali Zadeh. His instagram account is @dr.lotfalizadeh and his whatsapp number is: +98 9151164079 he doesn’t post his patients because most of them are from the Gulf region like myself, we don’t really like to be outed! Lol! The whole trip was arranged via this account that provides the translators, book you an appointment with your chosen doctor, and also provide you with drivers who takes you to all your appointments and to the hospital. Their instagram account is @tebtub ! I’m so grateful that the doctor chose to do the closed surgery rather than the open one which is the easier faster way! I was in the surgery room for 4 hours!! He really took his time on my nose. The stitches were all inside the nose because no cuts were done outside the nose. So the heart and whole body didn’t experience trauma. 6 days after surgery I had to fly back home so before going to the airport, I had my last appointment with my doctor to remove the cast and some of the stitches. The rest of the stitches kept falling off by themselves throughout the months after surgery. Every time I clean my nose, stitches fall off in my napkins. The stitches he used weren’t dissolvable. But were falling off on their own during the healing process. I have the doctor on whatsapp so I ask him if any question came to mind. His English is very good. And later, I discovered that he’s a member in the European board of surgeons.. don’t know the exact long name of it. He’s cute too! He’s such a character. An old man with knowledge and experience! My nose is still healing, but it came A LONG say! I wish I can do my graduation ceremony all over again now with my new barbie but naturally nose 🥹❤️ you don’t have to go to this specific doctor or to Iran. I went because it’s a neighbouring country. But do your research very well as every plastic surgeon have strengths and weaknesses. My doctor’s strengths are precision (doing a 4 hours closed surgery and CHANGING A LOT which is difficult to achieve in closed surgeries), and another strength of his is the defining of the nose tip! My nose tip was a massive flat ball and tilted towards one side! So he had the two strengths that my nose needed! 😂 this is how you assess which doctor to go for. Assess his strengths.

Dont ever listen to any one. I am very self concious of my nose and my apearance and I always assume people think Im ugly. The only reason someone would say that is because they dont understand how it feels to have a bad looking nose. Im definetly going to get one done when im 19 or 20. Even though my family is poor im just gonna go through collage and in the mean time save up every penny i have until ive got enough to pay it off. Then any thats left me in debt Im going to pay it off after I get the job i wanted. RIght now Im 14 and my nose is very big so its obviously going to get bigger. at this point I dont care anymore of what others think of me so much as what I feel about myself. The only person you need to please is yourself!

Omg I'm An artist too I do art since ever And I love looking at perfect stuff or for example my room only have 2 colors (white and pink) bcz other colors would destroy the harmony and the aesthetic I love my face sm but my nose have been the only insecurity It's hooked, big and doesn't have a high bridge And my parents recommended me to get a nose job next year I rejected but they think it's gonna fit me since I have very soft features like big eyes and soft small mouth and face So my nose looks big compared to them

It's fascinating and i get why people want it. Im just a little sad because a lot of noses that are beutifull like the roman nose, aren't seen as such by modern media, and it influences people to change their appearance. Of course if it helps you go for it, but once in a while look in the mirror and appreciate yourself for your uniqueness and see those features as rare and beautiful.

I have a large bumpy nose myself. BUT GET THIS.. It might seem difficult to “love your nose” when there are people who make jokes, or even have those slim (maybe even perfect noses). Trust me there’s so much more to people than appearance. I got a rhinoplasty a year ago and I’m actually glad I got it. I broke my nose twice when I was younger, therefore, I got a big bump on the bridge of my nose and was insecure of it ever since. Of course you will be under anesthesia so you won’t feel any pain, but the aftermath was challenging and uncomfortable, and it was difficult to sleep for couple days. I also had to wear a cast on my nose for 2 weeks with black and blue eyes, but that went away easily. I had to check up with my doctor every now and then to see if everything is the way it should be and how everything turned out. Besides all that, I’m happy with the results!

I really just want to get rid of my nose hump. My side profile looks disgusting, and I’ve never really noticed that until another pointed it out. But it is true, I’ve started to ask my family and close friends, the answer always being yes. I guess I just never noticed because way back then, appearance mattered little to nothing for me. A nose job would surely boost my confidence(: I may or may not get one in a few years.

i feel the same way with my nose hump :( if rhinoplasty is something that would boost your overall confidence and make you feel comfortable in your own skin, i say go for it. But please know that you dont have to go through with something that you dont want to and that ur beautiful

I broke my nose really bad- like crooked, huge bump, and the bone is pointy and stretching my skin to a purple reddish colour and appears waxy, even after 5 years- so I’m finally getting plastic surgery

I had this done because it was affecting my sinus problems. I’m so glad that I had it done because it had helped a lot! I hardly ever have sinuses anymore. The first day was not so bad except I bled a lot. The next two days I had to changing the dressing due to bleeding. For three weeks was hard because you couldn’t lie flat. It was hard to rest and get any sleep. It was extremely painful to cough and try not to sneeze. For the whole three weeks, I did not feel good because it was hard to breathe and I felt like I was fighting a terrible cold. The day I went to go get the tubes pulled out of my nose, I was shocked to see how huge the tubes were for my little nose!!! No wonder why I couldn’t breathe lol. After that, for about three days, my nose was sore, it did hurt to sneeze and blow my nose but I felt so much better!!!

This technology sure has changed. My uncle went in years ago to have a deviated septum corrected. The doctor struck in in the nose with a rubber mallet to break it without even giving him any anesthesia.

It does look scary! I'm getting a closed rhinoplasty as well as a sliding genioplasty (chin surgery) at the same time in 3 weeks. Even after watching the videos about the operations I still know that it will be worth all the pain. I just think of it as a couple weeks of pain and a lifetime of happiness with my appearance when I do the surgery, verses a lifetime of insecurity and discomfort if I don't do the surgery.

big noses aren't ugly, I find them really pretty especially ones with humps. you most likely hate it, not because it's big,, but because it's not usually common in social media models. you're not an odd one out, many people have 'non trendy noses', your nose is unique and made specifically for your face. it's not ugly. every body part has gone thru some type of trend shit, big noses and big foreheads, thin brows, hip dips, small lips, these were considered the prettiest features ever in different centuries and now the opposite of those features is what people consider ideal. aka just love yourself everybody needs to shine in all of their life stages, don't regret something society deems on you as "ugly". also random but certain people in japan dyed their teeth black because they considered it beautiful.

I don't even have nose bridge and quite wide and look fat. Damn asian genes. Not really asian genes. I got my father's nose which is a bit wide, but he got bridge. my mom got no bridges, but her nose is narrow and small. So my nose is combination of their nose, no bridge and big nose. All of my siblings had a quite fair skin, nice teeth, good facial structure, thick, good nose and straight hair. I inherit the flaws in my family, and i'm the youngest. I have dark skin, crooked teeth, ugly nose, my complexion is soo bad, my hair is straight on the left side, and the other side is slightly curl. And we are poor af. I wish i can get a surgery. To fix my flaws. Enhance the God's made.

Re wolf I don't know your age but I just want to remind you that the more your grow up the more your features will change. I used to want to change many things about me too, but now being mature and realising beauty comes from within specially when you're content and confident it reflects on your appearance. Also, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.. You might not see yourself as beautiful but you'd be surprised about others seeing you beatiful or wanting to have some of your features. Remember, again, the older you get the more changes will happen to you. Sometimes it's also about getting a healthy skin or healthy body, mentally and physically. Eat healthy and sleep well or enough and try to see this world not from the eyes of those who are only obsessed with material things. Instead, focus on what lifts your soul and be good and do kind things, yes it will reflect on you and how you appear to yourself. Wishing you the best.

Re wolf I see, it might be good to sometimes point out to others that you are you and not your siblings. You should never try to be another copy of your siblings, even your siblings cannot guarantee that they'll stay good looking or beatiful in other's eyes forever. Beauty standards change, we change, and who knows.. Hopefully the toxic ideas of others around you will change too. But, no matter what, don't let people put you down for superficial things. If they see you weak or not confident all the time then they'll just focus on that and put you down more. Some do that without realizing, some do it on purpose, just try to clean your thoughts and soul from theses toxic surroundings whenever you can. Do something you love or like, I suggest even taking martial Arts classes.. They really good in building confidence and restoring inner peace. Remember, you are meant to be you, not someone else.

My moms nose is flat and wide (she's asian), my dads nose is slim and long (he's caucasian), and i got a wide nose at front view and long nose at side view, if only i could get slim and flat nose instead 😞

I got a nose job, and you shouldn’t be afraid of the actual procedure, you should be afraid of the recovery process because it’s so uncomfortable and painful that it’s very very hard to go through. And I’m like either you want it or you don’t and I definitely wanted my nose job and even though it was so painful I’m very happy that I did it and the pain is only temporary I never have to be insecure about my nose ever again.

I do not understand why so many people complain about their recovery being painful, mine was pretty much painless, just a bit uncomfortable in the first two weeks. The worst was the removal of the tamponades because it felt like pulling your brain out of your nose lol

Kiui everyone has a different experience, but I had a lot of pain and I was uncomfortable on another level, and the splint removal had complications and not only did it hurt like hell, I had a compulsive nosebleed till the point where I almost had to be hospitalized. But I’m glad you weren’t in a lot of pain, I hope you are happy with your result, I’m certainly satisfied with mine☺️
