Just installed these in my 22 Toyota Hilux after watching this video. Made it much easier for me because the instruction came with the system is over complicated. Just one question: on the Rhino website it states this Vortex 2500 is “ Height Adjustable “ ? Can you elaborate? How can I adjust the height of the bars? I can’t seem to find a way to do so. Thanks

Any issues with wind noise where that brackets hook up under the door seals? Some racks bends that part of the door a little and after you always have wind noise when the rack is off the car.

@@RhinoRackAustralia So too are the 1970 Prorack bars, although they are of a much thinner metal, about 1mm or so, and the load bars are a different shape and thus cross sectionally "squished" from that of the thule, so I bought the longest Thule bars I could, (direct from the UK) at 2M in length, to discover they didn't actually have any "underside" foot mounting grooves, so used the prorack feet with a little help from a hammer and a drill (for the rivets see) HOWEVER, the load bar feet I made for my old 1970's Hillman Hunter, were just welded triangles that I got a local welder to tag onto a nice long 2" x 1" box section steel, and thus I made homemade clamps to allow me to solid clamp those side pieces, into/onto the old school gutters. That was about 1976 - 1978. Then when switching up into a 1996 Mitsi Delica 4wd van, I married (no wrong word, I intermixed) the older 1970's Proracks and their piss-poor Australian made thin L clamps, - and some later bought 6" tall / long Thule legs with their slightly better L clamps, to allow me to have a LOT more 4wd offroad ights up there, with a fixed 7core cable running up the A-pillar and OUT the previously vacated radio aerial hole of the Delica, to the 7pin flat vehicle socket that I permanetly fixed that to the front Prorck bar, to allow the thule log legs to be taken off, with ALL the offroad lights on it, including a few extras such as side indicators and "auto-timed" auto-off DRL's and the several front of load bar "loads" being five of the LED pods (that I cut from a ten way string - using the other five on the other end of the 2M load bars - as a LOAD see, as why else have load bars if one cannot LOAD them with a LOT of lights) ... Along with the ever usefull long range flood/spot 48watt square lights that were great in tall grass, and on-road too, above useless sods in their little/sports type on-road cars whose snobbie driver didn't like using their high beams... As the roof mounted 4wd van's flood/spots acted as brightlight sunlight lites, shining far ahead from oh so high above the rooftops of little cars.. That allowed me to see the road a long way ahead of us both, yet they couldn't DIP mine ... thus we both got a great forwards view. Now where was I - oh yes, roaring along amongst the camels, on the southern scenic route, of what's it called, "a null a bore"?

Not sure if anything reads these comments still, but the instructions for the 10th gen accord do not work for the back rack. I made it fit by moving it forward about 2 inches, and added 5 mm to both sides to increase the effective length of the bars. Also, the instructions for the pads show that you flip the right/left depending on if the pad is on the front/rear bar. This doesn't make sense for the rear bar because the contour of the pads flip also and now you have a groove that matches nothing.

I'm so glad I was given these roof racks and I didnt pay $400+ for them because there was no warning that you needed a PHD level education to read the instructions. I haven't installed them on my car yet but the feet are on the crossbars after 3 hours. Perhaps the assembly instructions could be broken down a bit more to make them easier to follow.

+J Calo, please check the following: 1. Please ensure that all your measuring strips are inserted on both sides of the underside of the bars, if you haven’t done this, that is why your racks are noisy. (This is the most common reason for wind noise on vortex/aero style racks.) 2. Ensure that all the bar rubber is inserted in the top side of the bar. 3. Also if moving the front bar back a little is an option this can also help. Hope this helps!

No where on their website does it state roof racks are not eligible for return. Apparently they consider roof racks for cars... RV Systems. Go figure.
