Thanks for sharing. I’m working on a hull design in CATIA V5 because that’s what I have experience with. Interesting to see how rhino works. Please share more on your design if you don’t mind. I miss mean chicken, would have been a great place to share your design decisions and progress

I'm working with Rhino because it is relatively cheap ($1000 once) and it fills the most important need: unroll the bow into flat sheet equivalents. It took a few weeks to become efficient with Rhino's "way of thinking" and now I can proceed quickly but am still learning. I also looked at Solid Works, but their sales people and brief 2 week (?) trial period killed that thought. They do have a "first year for free" deal, but this requires learning a bunch of cloud-based BS that has zero value to me. If I skip the cloud crap, then the first year is half price. Forcing my hand into the cloud killed that deal. Missing from Rhino is any sort of tool path output for CNC Milling; but add-ons or other low-cost options may be sufficient.
