My first time working on a water heater and I figured out it was the sensor after checking the elements 😅 my neighbor was charged 150 by a heating company to tell her they didn’t work on those and left 🤣🤣

I got the alarm, and the A102 code. No leak present that I could see. I turned off the power to the heater, removed the sensor wire from the tube it inserts in, wiped it down with paper towel, reinstalled, turned on power and now no code. Condensation maybe? Thanks for the video!

We just bought this unit, installed and next day got this error. Can it be disconnected? Already regretting this purchase.

So sorry to hear that! Ours has been acting up again. Getting alarm A102 at least once a day. I'm not sure what to do now. Don't want to spend another $350 for the service guy to come out. I think I'm just going to disconnect the cord that I installed. Now this is totally at your own risk. Just know that if you disconnect it and it starts leaking you will not get any warning.

We disconnected it, our old one didn’t have a leak detection, so I hoping it’ll be ok and if it happens we are around.

I had the plumber come out again today. The water in the safety tray was coming from the relief valve at the very top of the unit. So you might want to check their for any water leaks.

would have been nice to at least get an alarm reset message

I know right! Instructions were to turn off the power to the hot water tank. We I turned it back on, no alarm message came back on.
