Rhapsody on ‘St Francis’ was commissioned by Derek Lance and the New York Staff Band in 2019 and is based on the hymn to which we associate the words “All creatures of our God and King”, the first verse of which reads:
All creatures of our God and king,
Lift up your voice and with us sing
Alleluia, alleluia!
Thou burning sun with golden beam,
Thou silver moon with softer gleam:
O praise Him, O praise Him,
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

I'm getting to perform this piece at NABBA this year with Roman Festival Brass from Rome GA. Very fun to play the E flat soprano part! Hunter Moss
