The junge norddeutsche philharmonie is one of nothern Germany‘s most aspiring young musicians projects. Young and talanted musicians from all over Germany come together to create their very own sound and play energetic and innovative concerts - music from our future!
On 31.7.2015 the junge norddeutsche celebrated their fifth anniversary in the Laeiszhalle Hamburg. Here is an excerpt from the jubilee program "KlassiKnallt!":

I was never sure I like Rhapsody in Blue, but this performance convinced me that the reason I was dubious is because it was always poorly performed. This is great --strong, powerful, rhythmic, great sound. Wow.

Merveilleuse interprétation. Piano excentrique, les vents grinçant, enfin le caractère tantôt burlesque tantôt tendre est parfaitement rendu. Style de la comédie musicale.

This pianist doesn't do this song sny justice. I do not like his cadence. I wish he would play what Gershwin wrote. Not his interpretation of it.🙄
