I did the Sillfra snorkeling on our last trip to Iceland. It was amazing but I have never been so cold in all of my life and I live in Alberta Canada! The wind in Iceland is really something. Just love it there. Planning trip #3!

Great video, thanks. Looks amazing. We’ll be in Iceland in summer ‘24 and will be doing a 7 day self-drive tour in the south and then jumping on the Norwegian Prima. Wow, so beautiful. I think those are the most amazing falls. And the geyser reminds me of Old Faithful, which I haven't seen in over 50 years.

We stayed close to the small boat marina, which wasn't convenient for walking around and seeing things downtown. If we had it to do over again, we would probably find something closer to the downtown area where the big church is!! :P

Too funny....I follow you guys and we were just in Iceland on an MSC cruise. We did the same Golden Circle tour. It was amazing. We did it with a private tour company called Iceland Everywhere. They were great and very reasonable price. We even stopped at the same bakery at the beginning.

So glad you were able to see these beautiful places in Iceland. We did our own road trip in 2016 and fell in love with it all. We also had some very rainy weather (Late October) and still enjoyed our time. We will be making our way back after we check off a few other places on our list :)

Great video. We did the same tour but in the opposite direction. We got a bonus of stopping at a farm with horses and sheep. Dee would have loved it. We didn’t stop on the way there ( heavy traffic and probably do the time we departed ). Thanks for telling people check the rules of their excursion because I’m retired from customer relation ( travel related ) and sometimes it is what it is. Glad everything worked out for you…sorry about weather but y’all are real troopers.😊

Bringing back memories! I did the Golden Circle tour last September. The falls are definitely more impressive in spring than fall but they were still amazing. Your Iceland videos have me eager to return (er, but not on Prima again).

Bus stop #8 is the easiest to find - it’s at the big church

That was about a mile and a half from where we were staying, so we were glad they had a super close bus stop option for us!! :P

We typically use Merrells, which we've had for years. They've treated us well, but I'm sure there are lots of other good options to be had!! :D

You can't claim through your tavel insurance for excursions not booked through the cruise line for missed ports?

Possibly, but not sure. It would have been worth a try, if we hadn't been able to reschedule the tour to a different day that worked for us!!

We definitely do in advance for Iceland. That vendor was BusTravel Iceland, as far as I recall. We didn’t find that area of the world a place where you could readily find vendors selling tours just off the ship!! :D
