I always thought Rex's coolest deck was during the lost souls are. Giant Rex, Gilasaurus, Kaitoptera(?) And Tyrant Dragon. His deck was genuinely useful and fit the theme

The Bet in question was all the cards they had on the field Rex had Red Eyes Black Dragon equipped with Dragon Nails and Joey had Time Wizard he uses Time Wizards effect fossilizing Red Eyes and wins both Red Eyes and Dragon Nails

These cards are not as expensive as you say, not even close.

Well they are actually quite expensive for commons because a lot of them only have like 1 or 2 prints.

As of right now, on TCG Player, the lowest priced copy of Sword Arm of Dragon is selling at $13.99 + .99 shipping, so $15 (not including tax). Correct me if I'm wrong but 17 is pretty close to 15.
