Theory: I think ash loves brook but brook is in denial and something is holding him back to confess . In the song it goes: (you know I want you it's not something I try to hide) . So this is ash telling brook that he loves him.( Well the Male in the song says this ) In the next part of the song it goes like this (the female in the song sings this): (You think it's easy You think I don't wanna run to you But there are mountains And there are doors that we can't walk through ( this is saying brook wants to be with ash but hes holding back his feelings bc of some reason ) I know you're wondering why because we're able to be Just you and me within these walls But when we go outside, you're gonna wake up and see That it was hopeless after all( I think this bit is saying that if they even get into a relationship it wouldnt work and it wouldnt end right ) No one can rewrite the stars How can you say you'll be mine? Everything keeps us apart (I think this bit Is saying that brook just doesnt want to confess his love for ash and like everything is keeping them apart and they cant rewrite the stars ) And I'm not the one you were meant to find) and lastly this bit is saying that brook thinks they shouldn't be together or they arent meant for each other . So I think overall they love each other but brook is scared ,or something is stopping him to tell ash that he loves him .
