LSF cable isn’t resistant to fire and heat damage. It just releases less smoke and fumes when burnt. This is the 2nd video I’ve watched of yours and i must say, your knowledge is really quite poor. The other video i watched was an EICR video sprinkled with misinformation and incorrect codings. I’d seriously brush up on your knowledge matey if you want to be successful on KZread.

Hi KC, Thanks for your input. I of course know the exact purpose of LSH, Its more out of bad habit of calling cable fire rated than knowing the difference but I’ll make sure to call it by its correct term in future. The EICR video we didn’t code anything in that, we made reference to a few observations and what we thought we be the best remedial action. It’s certainly an eye opener in making sure we say things correctly on our videos, especially when we are open to criticism in the comments. We shall endeavour to improve but we will never be perfect. 👍

@@justinbucknellelectrical Thank you for your reply. Regards the EICR video…..you are correct. You didn’t mention codes. But you did talk about things like main earth and bonding conductors, saying they were not correct. Which suggests they are Code 2 observations. I assume this became earthing and bonding that isn’t correct is potentially dangerous. Unfortunately however, you are wrong in regards to minimum sized (non-buried) main earthing conductors for a TT earthing system. You are also wrong about the minimum size of main bonding conductors on a TT system. I won’t point out the other ‘observations’ i made……but you need to realise that your incorrect advice to the client may well cost them money that they dont need to spend.

Thanks for your reply. What we have said or have suggested would certainly not rise to work being carried out that could cause a safety issue but I appreciate my comment might suggest us recommending work that might not need to be done. We do have the follow up remedial work video being shot in a few weeks and that video will be out in a month or two. The main reason why we launched the channel was to show how much pride with have with our work and what we are about to our perspective and existing customers, like I said before we are not perfect and if constructive criticism makes us better then that is a win win in my view. Sadly there are far too many installers out there who do not care about their work at all and will install work that is unsafe to start with. We will never knowingly do that and that is what drives us to provide a high level of service. Thank you for your feedback again and I welcome your continued constructive comments in future videos.

@@justinbucknellelectrical Fair play to you mate. We can all learn from each other if open to it, and no one is perfect. I continue to learn also! You certainly come across as professional, and a contractor that cares. I would just be super careful about what you quote from the regs. Make sure its fact. The likes of John Ward and David Savery are successful because their videos are packed with quality factual information, which will always trump a glossy video production. Good electricians appreciate the knowledge, probably more so than the entertainment factor. In my opinion anyway. Lol. I’ve subscribed anyway, and look forward to more videos 👍
