Sure people need to mind their business, but what if that bag he threw away DID have drugs in it. that's all they are there for, the possibility that they DID in fact store drugs in a trashcan was high enough for suspicion. its not the cops fault, that's their job. and its not the fault of the person who called them either, maybe they live there and have children and are worried about drug deals going on around the place that their kids are growing up. think about other people's perspectives. id hate to start a shit storm with this comment, but im tired of people thinking that they should just be able to conduct themselves in any way they want in public. this isn't a perfect word, and people will judge you and think you're up to something you may not be, even if you think what you are doing is completely harmless.

I've had cops called on me because I was in my trunk for too long. I was trying to setup some wiring and an amp for some subs that I had coming in and the cops came by and were really nice about it. My neighbor however, has now made death threats, told us we are not allowed to have cozy fires outside, and calls the cops anytime he see's children on the street playing.

First of all they were already pretty much as friendly as their going to get. Any of those cops pull him in the future they'll let it slide. Second it's wayy to much liability for both of them, the cop would a lot of trouble if they were found to be doing that on shift, plus they'd be speeding (because that's the whole point) and what if they got pulled over? Nobody called the cops. They just show up and say whatever they need to get a look in the cars. And if the kids denied the cops from searching, they would simply say they "smell" drugs and order a K9 unit to search anyway. I have family who are officers and that's the training they receive. Not everywhere in cali. You don't have to get your car checked until 5 or 6 years from date of purchase. Where I live you don't have to smog your car ever except on change of ownership. That means I'm good to do a full header back exhaust. I'll be keeping the oem piping with cats in it though, and the OFT allows me to put the car back to stock tune whenever I want

I like how the cops can just park wherever they want. Makes it feel like a car meet.

When I bought my Camaro I was behind two state troopers. One in a crown Vic, other was in a Chevy Impala. Back then they had the LT1 350. They actually drag raced on route 40. I seen them at 7 eleven so pulled in and told them I seen then race. They both laughed. Asked who won and the cop said the Impala kills the vic. Thought it was funny they raced, and also they didn't lie and say no when I told them I seen it. Both were young and fresh out of the academy. Btw they were Maryland state troopers. Not all cops are asses!
