I've tried many different ways of setting up my tarp over the years and these are what I use now. I love them. 😊

I used these for my thru hike of the appalachian trail and I absolutely loved these. We had some SUPER windy nights and never once did my ringworms come untied. It was a great lightweight option because as we all know, carrying a bunch of hammock hardware can add up weight quite rapidly. But these were great. I lost 6 of them at Hawk mtn shelter in Georgia in my first week on trail lmao so if you found those, you're welcome xD. Highly recommend!

I would love to see a pros/cons to Fleaz / Ringworm / Tarp Flyz ... seems like you could use any of the 3 in a similar configuration. I do like that this type of setup would let me store the lines seperate from my tarp/snakeskin.

Fleaz and ringworms are similar but the ringworms have the quick disconnect hook feature. Tarp flyz could work as well, but we mainly recommend those for ridgeline tieouts and not ground tieouts.

You just larks head a shock cord loop onto the d-rings on your tarp. Then the Ringworms hook onto the shock cord.

Between these and the stingerz deploying my tarp is easily 2-3x faster than my friends who use more traditional methods. Not to mention the ease of adjustments is super easy.

I also use the rings to store my lines, fold them over 4 times and leave a bit of slack. Push the folder over lines into the ring and wrap the slack around and lock into place and you have no e clean lines stored. Then I leave them on and snake skin my tarp.

@@dutch3323 another trick ive used with the rings, when I didn't have poles and had to go find sticks for porch mode I've used the ringworms to hold up the tarp instead of the D rings attached to the tarp so I didn't risk the stick damaging my tarp.
