@@BiffaPlaysCitiesSkylines Don't forget that unless you've enacted a "no bicycles on sidewalks/pavements" policy, bicycles will go on them as well as use dedicated lanes if you have them. So not having bicycle lanes doesn't mean "no bicycle travel option this way", just kind of a higher cost for them to use that route. Bicycle lanes just mean the further faster using that mode than others, making travel that way more appealing, so will relieve a little pressure on transit and/or a little pressure on motor vehicle lanes.

I think a huge tourist entertainment complex would make sense in that area. It’s right beside a highway entrance, there’s the railway line for a station, off which you could maybe have some monorail? That could pass a stadium and other sports things, along hotels & shops then into a water side amusement park! It could be a real cool place 🎉😁

Its just a suggestion but with that type of terrain, maybe you better utilize ferry as a "bridge" to connect each island, and try centralize mass transportation to ferry.

Biffa, I think you should choose the square by Cherry Centre, so you can sort out the railway and highway interchange. You'd then have more space and could move the tram depot across the river (removing the need to have trams on that bridge).

I have a cool idea!! At 31:14 you talk about putting something in amongst the trees, how about a dozen or so HUGE mansion size properties with lots of land each, hidden deep within the trees, with their own long winding private road each coming off an exclusive main road along the forest border, each property could be very unique with design, pools, tennis courts, barns or stables etc! I don't think you have ever done something like that before, just use a huge bit of land for a few super rich 👍 it could be super creative!

Again saying that I think the area you started over the last episodes as high density would have (and possibly still could be) been the perfect place to build your main airport of biffalo county, as its centrally localted on the map and possibly the biggest piece of already flat land. Even after this episode, I think there might still be enough open space left to accomodate an airport (when looking at the area with video stopped at 31:10 there could easily one runway along the coastline paralell to the existing road and a second runway going from the new interchange diagonal towards the river delta - of course that road extension you build this episode would have to be demolished again).

I kind of agree on centralizing the ferry's as transport, and maybe even taking out the bridge you built to reduce that road congestion, now that you have ferry and metro so well setup that they can take the highway between. You'd have to put the tram depot back on the other side for that, but definitly still an option. Opening up the map with new squares if you really want that corner for smoothing out the train/road traffic on that corner you could go there and then jump another square north into my territory, would get you close to the harbor, which I've read was a potential traffic jam issue later in the game(my apologies for that). Though I'd like to see quirky's island in regards to maybe some kind of park feature area's to come up, when cities start getting this big I always feel nice park feature area's become more important. That's my 2 cents. Have fun

9:20 Can you put the tram depot on the other side of the road and curve the road down around it? It would straighten up and get rid of the sharp S bend in the road off the main junction. Detailing wise, A tram shed beside a river would have its own dock for easy transport of tools, parts and machines and obviously a carpark for employees. 😉

For me it would be great to utilize the square with a little bit of highway road (where you wanted to connect train lines) and put there a nice Hot Cup of Tea (hot springs) if possible. Beginning of the river could be changed to a little lake (like a Blue Lagoon). It would also open a possibility (later on) to have a small fairy connection down the big river. But it would require small, rustic boats to look good (not sure if they are available).

That set of ferry lines could do with a smaller inner loop to help folk make shorter connections. Something like 1-3 stops in the center for people who need to go just across the river to stop them from having to ride all the way around the wings.

Around 09:15 I suggest to add slip lanes for the right traffic, so the actual intersection only has to deal with left and straight traffic. So you can keep the smaller four lane road as well.

  • @Valthalin

    @Valthalin

    Жыл бұрын

I have to agree, making all the other traffic in the intersection wait for that right turn traffic seems counter intuitive, personally I would make an underpass along the coast UNDER the bridge to get into town and avoid the intersection entirely as well but I am not certain what the AI would do with that choice. Treating the 6 lane like it is a highway and adding an interchange rather than an intersection is maybe even better as it is the only utilized connection across the river currently.

I like the idea of buying the square so you can fix your pinched connections. Maybe a nice terraced neighborhood would look good there.

2:30. We have a bike lane over the Sydney Harbour Bridge, it connects to a bike path that's over 40 kilometres. It's not fun riding 40 KMs up hills in 40°c heat. 🤣

I would like to see a more rural area back along the hillside away from the waterfront. I think that metro loop is a little strange. My idea is to replace the Pine Hills station with one of those criss-crossy metro stations from the plazas & promenades pack and have it go back and forth from there to the station across the river. Then the stations in the Autumn and the Eggleston Woodland districts could be rotated 90 degrees and be hooked up to the other platform at the Pine Hills station to form a separate line. This should let you easily extend the line into the new district that you are going to build.

I would suggest reorienting the metros in both the new areas to horizontal instead of vertical . It would make for a shorter more direct route. I would also recommend moving the university into the other cleared area across the highway from Autumn district so you have room to build a campus with parking. Maybe also move one of the high capacity elementary schools over there and add a playground/park for the kids. I think having two of them in that one area is too close. I wish City skylines dinner more realistic take on schools so they cover a larger area and you don't have to have as many. Autumn district also needs a post office and bank. Wish you had some Big box store assets and gas stations as well.

Hi 👋 As always, excellent video !!! Here’s my modest suggestion. If you build more high density housing, you’ll need to work on the intersection and the connection because that simple road leading to the T junction won’t cut it I think.

Hey Biffa, I absolutely love watching your videos. I've watched most of them. I think a zoo or theme park would be amazing for the water front. Open us onto another island and make it into a very posh place with mansions.

Consider obtaining the square that will allow you to extend and connect the train line left of Cherry Center. Strategic. Then when you reach the next level perhaps extend into the mountains or someplace rich in resources.

Put the fence along the cargo road, stop the noise at source rather than blocking the householders views of the trees/shoreline.

It’s been a while since you’ve done an epic amusement park. Also the mountains of eggleston would make an awesome mansion/high value area. Love the vids. I would download but honestly as I get older the less time I have it seems😢

Biffa, heres an idea for the new area. You could make a pedestrianized neighborhood. I think this would look cool, and this would expand you city to help you get to Metropolis!

Maybe in the wooded area you could make a nice dedicated University campus with low density residential around it

A good thing for the new area would be a zoo surrounded by a pedestrian area with mostly wall to wall commercial, but some residential sprinkled throughout.

I love this city because of how much effort you've put into detailing and making each area perfect! Zoning just doesn't having the same calibre as your creativity which is why in my opinion the new zoned area just isn't on the same quality as the areas which you've beautifully crafted

A Zoo around the river and ocean would be fun! Almost like the Columbia Zoo in South Carolina where a river runs right by the zoo where people use inflatable rafts and travel down the river right by it.

Biffa the area you were working on right now. Some of the big apartments have little number of households which I saw in one of your previous videos. Could be worth increasing the household numbers.

Hey Biffa, dont forget about your trees in the middle of roads (again😅🙈) I know, but I had to 😁 Love your content! 😍 And I agree with eco friendly houses at the coast within the new area. Maybe with some unique designed building/s?
