Reviving Zunism - the Rarest Religion in Crusader Kings 3 Challenge

Ойындар

The Zunist faith is by far the rarest and most obscure religion to obtain in Crusader Kings 3. In this CK3 challenge video join me as we revive the Zunist religion of the Zunbil dynasty of Afghanistan and praise the sun! This crusader kings challenge requires hundreds of thousands of piety to revive Zunism - can it be done in ironman mode? Let’s find out!

Seventh grandfather in this context means (Presumably) the patrilineal great-grandfather 7 generations past. No matter how much inbreeding, that person exists, though he might also be the 5th and 6th at the same time. Maybe worth reminding that you can have at most 4 biological grandparents (2 per each biological parent) and inbreeding can only reduce this number.

This guy is a great CK3 creator, a perfect mix of classic CK KZread style and even older PDX forums After Action Reports - text content written from a POV as if it's an actual historical record from an alternate timeline. It's like if he wrote an AAR, but then did a dramatic reading of it and paired that with video footage of the gameplay. Plus jokes about political issues today that stem from medieval conflicts that add to the "nothing ever changes" vibe that the blending of old CK2 content style and old AAR writing style creates. A new video from this guy always feels just as "I'm 14 years old, just got home from school, time to boot up CK2 on my computer and watch someone else trying one of my fave starts or read some guy's AAR on the forum waiting for my game to load" as my old comfort playlists, even though it's CK3, because it's such a perfect blend of the latest game and the old popular storytelling styles.

Very nice video, Alzabo! I just wanted to put something out there as a little fun "in-universe" thingy since the concept alone was so interesting. In Farsi (Persian), the word for solar is 'Khurshid'. It means 'sun' or 'radiant sun' and was used as a name at the time Hurmiz took power in this world. I say this because Solar Sharia in what was Middle Persian (the language spoken by the Sassanids at the time the video started) would be something along the lines of Khurshidi Sharia; Roughly translating to 'the way of the sun'. This is because of the definition I gave before along with the fact that Sharia means 'the way'. *Insert followers of this fictional faith saying "do you know de wae?" here* And hell, if you want to, it could be shortened to Khuria to distinguish it from Sharia proper. *Insert jokes about Khuria being Best Korea here* Thanks for reading and again, great vid!

Re-make it in the future perhaps? I'm finding that I enjoy this style of story telling as well, I'm a fan of "episodes" I guess but this feels quite natural and still nice to follow instead of a recording of every single moment, even if its eventually split as if they're episodes. You seem good at making the story, definitely.

Pro-tip in CK2: If you have a high enough troop count (~2000), you can imprison your barrons. They will most likely rise up in rebellion, then you smash their army with your prepositioned raised levy, kill them all, siege the holding, imprison him, revoke, banish and steal all their money. Create a new vassal from the holding, and he will start accumulating cash. Do it with everyone, become the most tyrannical ruler ever and get RICH. Mercenary your way to victory.

Rules You would start as a Roman cultured male at 18 yo You follow the Hellenic faith By the end date fof 1453 you need to have two imperial titles, that of the Indian Empire and the Roman Empire You can convert away for the Hellenic faith to form the Indian Empire and convert back to hellenism

Well I need to think of a Way to do an Aurelian Run now - not sure if you can take the Roman empire decision as a Zunist though - probably need to form it as a reformed Christian with Lay Clergy and similar to Zunist doctrines - only way I can think of doing that legitimately with a base game character. Though the internal strife of trying to change the entire empire to a New Faith would mean you would have to be as good of a general as he, if not more so because the local populace would not be as greeting. Would definitely be an interesting run though, - would definately have to be a Custom Ruler realistically though, maybe a custom ruler starting in Bulgaria/Serbia since thats where he is believed to be born. You'd probably also need to use a mod that added Immortality too, CK doesn't really allow for that quick of conquest...

One idea i've always wanted to see is having a country/ruler in Europe or the British Isles convert to Islam and see what happens at that point. Also, marrying, divorcing and then remarrying your family members must make awkward conversation at the dinner table.
