Gonna give a shot at pressure washing /acid washing my boat . What psi is safe for gel coat and what degree tips do you recommend ? The local hardware store sells a 1800 psi 1.5 gph washer with a 15 degree tip but I’ve read 45 degree safer on gel coat ? I do have some dings and spider cracks in the gel coat . Thanks for the video . Learned a lot and looks satisfying !

@@kkuo1803 I usually run around 1200-1500 psi with a rotary tip. The gel coat can take a lot but you don't want to hit it harder than you need to. A rotary tip really helps knock off the organics but you can do it with a fan tip just takes longer. The key is to let the acid do the work, don't try and brute force off with the water. Reapplying the acid and brushing will help.

Do you every move the stands and the blocks that the boat is resting on? So you can clean under them.

Usually not. If you were selling your boat I'm sure you could arrange with the staff to use the travellift and get me access then it would be perfect. Otherwise I just do the best I can with what I can reach.
