    Hi there Is there a way to use a google 3d background image and place lighting on the site and then render in 3D? i would love to use this for clients when we look at lighting for their buildings to show what it would look like before they buy

    I use a reference plane because coping is often unreliable and it relies on an element, that may be deleted or moved in a way that it breaks the coping. Editing an element that is connected to other elements is usually a pain in revit, so reference plane is more flexible.

    I have a question regarding the material of the structual beams. It seems to me that you can only change the material of the individual beam in the properties panel but not the material o all the beams of the same family on the proyect, like you could do with a wall. Is there a way to do this?

  • @TheRevitKid

    @TheRevitKid

    By default, structural framing material is usually an instance parameter. Meaning, you will have to select all of the beam and apply a material to them. If you want, you can open the structural beam family and change the material parameter to a "type" depending on your needs.

    When you select beam support for the beam system, it doesnt work, the beam you select is not "selectable"
