    Hi, how do I import the mass to my project as a curtain wall?

  • @BINHE615

    No, you can't. This is an adaptive family, it can be placed on divided surface in a mass.

    I want to know how make a void on the top of the high rise building for placing dome structures by using void form.moreover this tutorial is very helpful for making any shape of facades keep it up.

    I'm not sure tbh. I have never used rhino and grasshopper, so I don't know what you can do with them. I do use a little of dynamo in my work but it's only those very simple tasks, like changing sheet names etc. Maybe learn a bit more about the families and some massing modeling will benefit you more.

    @@kai-dp3cg yo, it's been over a year but I loaded up a Revit file just for you. So what you want to do is go to massing&site, click in place mass, draw a line for the base of your curtain wall, select it and create solid form out of it, adjust the height and dimensions however you like, then select divide surface, then go to insert tab, select load family, load the family of the facade element, and place it alon the divisions. you can adjust the divisions to your liking.

    Hi, very useful video. But when I draw the line in the mass, it said mass contains no solid geometry. Mass floors, volume and surface, won’t be computed. How can I resolve this?

  • @BINHE615

    @BINHE615

    3 жыл бұрын

    You need to create form from that line.

    It doesn't matter, this warning is telling you that there are no solid in your mass and you will not be able to create solid floor from it. In this case, you only need a face to create divided surface. You can ignore the warning.

    Hi Mehmet, if I didn't provide a link in the video description, it means I did not save it. I suggest that you follow the video and model it yourself. You will have a better understanding of Revit family.
