@@WumpaLewis Oxide has me flopped! He is a dirty rotten scammy cheat! N.Tropy on Jungle Boogie,though,was pathetic. My original time was 3 seconds faster. Now I am one second faster. On Koala Carnival,he is EXACTLY 1 second and 1 nanosecond slower. Can I have some motivational quotes from you,please?

Man. 6 months ago I could only beat Tropy on slide coliseum. Today I can beat Tropy on every track and I can beat oxide on all of the CTR and CNK tracks. I can even beat Velo on about 4-5 tracks now. So I’ve gotten significantly better and continuing to improve. So to anyone struggling I would say just keep at it and keep working to improve.

Funny enough, but Slide Coluseum is the last track where I beat Tropy While Turbo Track is my first Oxide ghost win Im still dealing with Oxide times, and Im learning how to U-turn

I remember trying to keep blue flame on Oxide in Tiny Temple was such a pain and I despised Tiny Temple. Now I can keep up flame for 3 laps and it's one of my favourite tracks.

Haha same here! This was actually the first track I could manage to maintain blue fire for an entire lap or more at the beginning

I like to enable all the ghosts at once when I play time trials, just to make it feel more like an actual race, but without items, and also because I like to see how much of a gap there is between the different ghosts in real time. One of the craziest ones to revisit is N-Gin Labs (and I guess pretty much every blue fire track but this one stood out to me the most), there's such a huge gap between every ghost, even Velo struggles to keep up on this one lol.

N Gin Labs when I raced Velo there I beat his time by four seconds. That Velo time trial was the only one that gave me a little breathing room.

Its incredible how after doing nearly all the dev time (got 1 left) the Velo times feel pretty lenient and the oxide and tropy times even feel kinda slow now.

Will you do an Emperor Velo version? This seems fun to watch

I recently beat all the oxide ghost I remember being so scared to face him thinking I cant do it But then I beat most of them on my first try and I was just blown away how much I improved without knowing.

I think you now understand why people thought Oxide, and especially N. Tropy, were a joke.

man seeing this gives me hope that i'll eventually get good enough to beat oxide on all tracks. i only picked the game up recently. i used to play the original ctr as a kid but i wouldnt exactly say i was good at video games when i was 4 lmao

I was in the same position as you, i also played ctr on my PS1. I played like shit when i first played it on the PS4 on the release date and didn't think i would beat all the oxide times, but now i have the master wheels. So keep doing it you will get the master wheels like i did 100%

Awesome stuff dude. You definitely just gained a new subscriber! CTR (and all crash PS1 games) were my childhood. I thought I was hot shit when I was little just learning the shortcuts, but wouldn’t even try the oxide ghosts... mostly because my favorite racer was Pura and I refused to use anyone else😂😂 Keep up the good work!

I bought this game pre order and beat classic adventure mode because of nostalgia. I went back and picked it up again in March because I saw stuff on KZread like your videos and decided to do time trials. I went from barely beating N. Tropy on Crash Cove when I first played to beating all Oxide ghosts. I'm on the Velo Ghosts but I took a break after beating the first four tracks, ending with Roo's Tubes because I wanted to play some other games. Crazy how much people can improve on this game and anyone struggling with it just keep going. You'll get there eventually.

I finally beat all of the N. Tropy, Nitrous Oxide, and Emperor Velo XXVII time trials! All that's left are the Developer's times... (I did beat one though on Jungle Boogie)

Do it anyway! I know at least on ps4 only 1.3% of players unlocked digital tropy. Flexxxx and practice to get the rest of the TT. Congrats 🎉

Had the game about a week now, got most of the oxide trials done, got about 6 left, done a few of the easy Velo trials also, I’m definitely getting better and your videos have helped a-lot! See if I can eventually do most of the Velo ones and finish oxides ones also, however I don’t think I’m ever gonna be able to do Dragon mines!!!

Beat Oxide on every track but the gate shortcut in Blizzard Bluff is still impossible to me.

I've made an alt recently and was watching this video while re-doing the time trials and beating oxide on Electron without really paying attention since I was watching this video... I also beat the Thunder Struck Dev time first try while trying to open N. Trophy but it took me maybe 60 attempts when I first took on the developers... So I agree and it is a nice to see the improvement shine through 👍

I used to think I'd never beat crash cove with oxide but watching your videos helped me and thanks to you I got the Platinum for this game

A tip i learned from wolfie for jumping the fence in blizzard bluff is to look for the faded line in the snow and jump when you drive over it. (@11:20 Lewis first hop towards the fence he lands on the stripe)

Oh man, i have been playing so much CTR the last days because of these video's, my thumbs hurt like crazy from all the button pressing! i actually just reached the oxide time trials because i have to beat all of them for the platinum trophy on PS4, and holy crap you make it look so easy mate, i just tried crash cove, if i lose flames 1 time he just flies by me.. i dont know if i can do it all but i guess i have to try for old times sake

So basically you have motivated me with your dev ghost time trials to move on with these Oxide Ghosts.. and well I did it, Dragon mines was so painful... and now I also did the Velo ghost on crash cove and Android Alley, but there are so much left 😭😂

Playing online really helped me improve at these. I really struggled with Tropy then I started playing online and breezed through the Oxide ghosts with no trouble at all

Any1 else get hype everytim you hear Lewis say "welcome back to another video everyone"..

I miss the time where Oxide was hard:( it was a more easy time back then. Even when it was for me just in January because I started to play in end of December 😂

Next video: revisiting dev trials

I hated the Velo time trial for out of time when it first came out, but I’ve recently replayed it, I not only beat Velo on my first attempt, but I also lapped N. Tropy.

I played the original a lot back in the day. When I got this one, I knew I wanted to beat N. Tropy for the character unlock, but I accepted the fact that I would never beat a single Oxide time. Then I beat him on Papu's Pyramid. Then I got my second win against him and my third, and finally all of them. When Velo came, he was way too insane for me. Now I got 18 Velo times. I still don't think I will ever beat a developer time. But hey, that's what I thought about Oxide and Velo.

Look at Lewis' face! I mean, he looks absolutely calm. He reached peace.

Spyro circuit took me ages to beat Oxide. It was the one track I didn't want to race because its probably my least favorite.... I beat him a while ago but I don't want to attempt Velo

Doing the N Tropy Times for Oxide and Tiny Temple took me about 40min each or something, for me, Oxide Times = good enough, Velox and Dev’s can stay better than me any day

I still remember the pain but also the immense burst of joy when I finally beat Oxide’s time at 2 in the morning.

I just beat Velo using that gate jump. Was absolutely satisfying 👌🏻👌🏻

Lookin' back for the Oxide times, I do belive now he isn't that hard - except on few tracks IF you still struggle against him. For me, the hardest one I beat was Out of Time. I barely beat his time. Tiny Temple and Sewer Speedway still impossible for me

The ghosts are very inconsistent in difficulty so some of the oxide times are legit hard. Like having to hold blue flame for two laps on tiny temple is a big step up compared to other tracks where that’s not needed

Idk why but i found the oxide trials so easy when i first did them, idk maybe it was because the game was older and there were new better strats than before but i honestly only struggled a little bit with the dlc tracks since they were a step above the others

I already got Digital N. Tropy. Oxide was easy for my first try because my little brother was much harder than Oxide. The only track that is hard for me is Dragon Mines, it took me 3 hours before I beat Oxide.(Sorry I dont speak in english)

Struggling bad with Ntropy and Oxide. Just playing randomly and doing the ones that i feel the times are close. I just beat velo on crash cove after over 100 attempts and an almost smashed controller. I need to learn how to u-turn before going further into other tracks, any tips?

I got the game a week ago beat adventure mode pretty good and tried the ghosts and I'm telling you on the struggle bus like can't even beat n tropy and oxide depending on the track.

I did a redo of the oxide videos a while ago only because I had to. My game was erased do to glitch. I was lucky to be able to keep the pitstop goods and the championship kart and decals I earned up to that point. I realised just how good I have gotten up to that point and it felt pretty nice. I uploaded them a while ago and had fun doing them.
