Nathan, I was wondering if you ever considered an option for Saltu for just access to the website to watch the review recordings. I was in Saltu a while back but due to school and an erratic work schedule I was rarely able to attend review sessions, but I enjoyed watching the recordings for other players at my rank. I've wanted to join back for those but don't want to take a spot in the discord away from someone who would be able to do reviews.

Its interesting, the point you guys talked about with people's concern about ranked anxiety after going back to normal games, this is something I've experienced directly. I only played norms for years of my league journey (mainly because I wasn't trying to be better I just enjoyed goofing around with friends), but once I started trying to get better at the game breaking through that wall of ranked anxiety was a big deal for me. I've gone back to playing normal games again for the end of the season and despite ranked not being a big deal at all recently I've found myself experiencing that ranked anxiety again. Norms can be great learning tools but for me I've found that they can also be very tempting cause they are much "comfier", I can say I want to do it to learn and really tryhard but if I don't or if I'm tired I can pivot midway through a game and just go 'eh its only a norm' and all that learning is out the window. Not sure what the balance is as you guys mentioned, just very fun to think about.

Awesome episode. Love the 30/30/40 rule- keeping that in mind has led to many improvements to my play (need to win those 40s) and mental.

I came to the US back from being in Korea for almost a year and decided to swap to mid after playing support since season 7. I got plat pretty easily playing support in Korea with a pretty small amount of games. I’m trying the BBC system so hopefully I can really learn the game. I’ve been pretty excited about playing the game and feel teased by it when I just play a 3-block. Thanks for the content.

1:02:33 You know it's funny that you say that because I played Fortnite like it's league. Fortnite had a pretty high mechanical skill ceilling because of the buildings you could place and edit, so as a naturally competitive player I found an interest in the game pretty fast. I started playing because my little brother got me into this, I only played League till then pretty much my whole life. There was also something called "Creative" where you could basically train your building, editing and shooting as much as you wanted. I trained a lot and played Fortnite the whole day daily. I got pretty good at it pretty fast and almost qualified for the world cup, 1 year after I started playing. When I then stopped playing Fortnite (not because I didn't Qualify for the world cup, I still played like 1 year after that), I came back to League and suddenly I had really good mechanics. Even tho I haven't played League a lot (like maybe once or twice every few months), I had really good mechanics. Since then I only play Leauge and have to date pretty good mechanics on basically every champ I play. I thought maybe Fortnite made my fingers faster? Or my hand eye coordination? I just know that I got way better at League through Fortnite (at least mechanically).

i one tricked irelia mainly to Gold from Bronze 1 Most of my issues were tied to rank anxiety and small wave management, some camera control and warding mistakes but once those were fixed i climbed at a great pace. i also watch irelking everyday and love his content and a lot to learn from him and wanna get challenger on irelia one day too. my goal next season is diamond atleast and i should be able to do it.

I ended last season falling HARD to Silver 3 after peaking Silver 1 98LP. To say I was frustrated is an understatement… this season, I exited my Promos at Bronze 3…. I had to climb from the depths, but I’m finishing this season getting into Gold for the first time as an ADC. I peaked around Gold 4 80LP. IGNORE YOUR BRONZE AND SILVER TEAMATES! THEY ALSO DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING! I would follow because would feel bad if my team died and they would flame me. Stick to your fundamentals, do what you know is right listening to these guys and their advice of course) and get purposeful reps in…. You will climb, because for every one of us doing the fundamentals, seeking coaching and choosing to learn properly, there are 100s of other people around you who just turn up in ranked completely unprepared down in silver! Good luck to everyone on the last few days of the season, and remember, there is always next year 😊

his 70% might actually point out there's less than 30% games that are out of control. He climber through masters,gm, chall and on that lvl of play he defo had losses that weren't auto, but the ones he lost even though he had control, just because his opponents are also very good

yes. I watched so many vods when i was struggling in gold back in 2015. I really want vods with average or normal starts. when all vods are just people who get a free kill on invade, or enemy dc into free kill and push its so unrealistic.

As much of a dick I think Daemon T is, you're right in that George R R Martin is able to paint characters realistically. Even in the original Game of Thrones series most characters went through wins and losses. Great character progression.

We should have Curtis' girlfriend on for an interview sometime. One with her perspective on Curtis's growth as a person over the years, because I know personal growth and League has been a huge influence on Curtis' life and relationship. It would also give us a chance to get insight into what being absorbed into the game looks like from the outside view of someone close to us, and their perspective on how a good process affects our life and relationships. There also could be good value in an interview on her journey with League as she gets further into the process. It would be very cool to see either, or if we're lucky, both. We could also finally get the story on how the two of you met and all the fun girl talk. Man I've waited over a year to hear about the two of your story; we need answers. Well, only if she's comfortable with that, of course.

I think the biggest value of BBC is that they try to get personal, and get players to played with realistic expectation and a growth mindset. I've seen so many challengers and OTPs in chally, putting content where they look good and putting down if you don't follow their "way" and really pushing you away for learning a champ or role. But, if you go to watch their accounts and replays, you see so many mistakes and they never are accountable for it. So what makes me mad is that most of the time they are teaching useless stuff, or talking how they're good with champs (literally no teaching), instead of trying to comprehend the root issue of players and create a roadmap for their improvement. Just a lot of egotistic fellas.
