Try the earlier ones in the series. They had more routes, more rival, more customization, and graphics (at least for Xtreme Racer 3) that were almost as good.

Because Genki sadly stopped making games in the Shutokou Battle (Tokyo Xtreme Racer/Import Tuner Challenge) series, and this was the last one. I believe they had a massive layoff several years ago though, unfortunately.

*Forza WISHES it had this amount of customization.*

This game is not confusing, it just doesnt take you by the hand. I did this game 10ya & i still remember how to do. You just need to be the best street driver by beating every single persons, by beating crew membee to make pop the boss, some of them are in parkings area & stuff. I think what confuse is the fact that theres some drivers who appears only a certain day of the week, a certain time of the day (evening/night/dawn) & a certain type of location on the map, which make the game quite difficult without a guide. But its a must have for JDM lovers 👍

I used to love a street racing game called Tokyo Extreme Racer 3 on PS2, it had crazy mods and engine swaps.

I like how they have the 4th gen Eclipse in this game, despite it not being sold in Japan. It's kinda cool to think the characters imported them from America. You can definitely tell that wherever this game was made, they didn't have good access to Eclipses to help model them since the proportions are way off and the interior lights are all dark red as opposed to dark blue like they are in my real life one.

Tokyo highway challenge on the Sega Dreamcast started it all bro.. I loved these games so much, Tokyo extreme racer on the PS2 was brilliant, import tuner was the game it should of been even had a bit of story like the wangan midnight series 👌

Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero for PS2 is what I played. Included a little racing Doc called 'Night Warriors' and a trailer for The First Fast and Furious. The game released around the time of the film. R.I.P. Paul Walker

This game brings back memories this was one of the first games I bought for my 360

I read "Important Tuner" and clicked the video expecting him to turn a stock car into a movie car or something. I need to learn how to read.

TDU is not a customization game. Never was...

I still remember playing this as a teen and since I sold my 360 for PS3, I never played it again. I miss it. I might try to emulate it since it isn't available on Series S/X.

Look up Import Tuner Challenge Unknown. Then you will see why it reminds you of WMMT

when I saw this, "NO WAY HE WENT BACK" that game thought me a lot about cars and it got me into JDM car culture.

When is beciming a better driver series continuing

I remember the first time I ever saw this on the store shelf. I saw the corny looking cover with Import Tuner Challenge and was like "this looks stupid," so I looked at the back and saw Genki. Years later this was the first game I got when I got a 360. Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero and 3 were two of my favorite games of all time

This was my first racing game when I got my Xbox 360 and I still play this game to this day

This is one of the illest tuner games known to man next to Tokyo extreme racer but this one was a notch above. I would sit and play this for hours into the night with a sick music Playlist in the background

Not quite your speed, but I'd love to see you play an Animal Crossing game. The preferable options are Animal Crossing (GCN), Animal Crossing: Wild World (NDS), Animal Crossing: City Folk (Wii), Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS), Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer (3DS), and Animal Crossing: New Horizons (Switch). The less preferable options are Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival (Wii U) and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp (Mobile) as Amiibo Festival is a Mario Party style game and Pocket Camp is a mobile game so they aren't technically main series Animal Crossing games.

This was the last game of the Tokyo Extreme Racer series (Shutokō Battle series) developed by Genki, Wangan Midnight would appear on the PS3 the next year as a Japanese release but featured a different style of play.

BlackPanthaa would fall in love with this game.

Since I can't play this without getting an old 360, I did download another game by these devs since they famously did Tokyo Xtreme Racer/Shutokou Battle. They did a PSP game called Street Supremacy. Same concept as this. So fun. But repetitive. I binge it and was done with it. But you can technically keep playing and get better rides. It's cool. Definitely requires precision and skill. Or cheesing it when possible lol
