This "short film" was done in a span of 45 days. I was doing some other stuff in some days so I don't know how long it took me exactly.
This was a very fun experience, and also one of the rare times where the shots that I thought of turned out really close to how it looked in the final version.
I learned a lot with this project. "Small" projects are a great way to challenge yourself and discover things about your workflow, mindset, discipline, etc. I definitely found out a lot of things about myself during this project, and what I have to improve on.
Unlike the fan music videos, this was a project where I really put a huge part of myself into it, because I had almost nothing to base off my ideas on, no music to direct an MV on, no stream clip to base things off of. While I definitely did cut a lot of corners to finish this project, this is very special to me, and I hope you enjoyed watching it.
Thank you for your time.

This made me realize that Gura lore wise is pretty much one aquatic version of Aang from Last Airbender. While dorment for centuries, her home town got wiped. Everyone she ever knew is now gone. At same time she have to force herself to get out her happy go lucky personality and face off tge responsibilities of being the last one of her species.

But wait isn't her lore about how she went to surface because she was just bored? Lmao I remember the "LOL it's so boring here" thing which goes along with her Origin story video. I see this more like a what if, where Gura place was forgotten/destroyed and her race went extinct.

My favorite part of the HoloMyth community is all the lore that the fans speculate about and create amazing fanwork for. And of that lore, seeing all the fan interpretations of the fate of Atlantis is the most interesting, in my opinion. Did it get destroyed by a natural disaster, or from conflict with an enemy nation a la the most popular telling of the story from Plato? Or maybe even a supernatural force from beyond caused its demise? How were the people like before it fell? Gura has told stories of a few of the denizens being fish/crustacean-headed people, but were there more people like Gura herself? Is it impossible to resettle or even visit? Or is it possible to go back, and Gura just chooses not to? And if so, is it because she's moved on and prefers her new life on land, or is it because she doesn't want to go back to her homeland in ruins? And for that matter, is it even destroyed in the first place? Some fanworks do show Atlantis still thriving; just remote and invisible to the outside world. All of those questions are open ended and create an entire field for the fans to use as a foundation for their own creations.

It depends on the Fans prespective or creative thought of their Lore. It is Canon that we as Fans can change create a Reality of their Lore because we have the 'Observer Effect'. Where we create a Reality that we perceive or believe in Hololive Verse. For example, the HoloWeeN series where HoloEN become Horror series because of the Fans/viewer perspective and believes.

The fact that some of the girls used their special abilities to get to gura quicker when she was crying implies two things. 1: That they were too far away that simple running or walking wouldn’t be quick enough for them. 2: That if they were that far away, maybe they didn’t even see her start to cry and just felt it cause they are that close and knew they had to be by her side immediately Could be reading into it for a neat animation but I think it’s even more touching to interpret it this way

This was so emotional. Gura's happiness showing her new friends around her old home and playing around. Afterwards seeing everything in ruin, and seeing her sad and missing everyone she lost. It was pretty heartbreaking her reminiscing, but knowing she's not alone anymore and having new friends in the girls of Myth is heartwarming. I guess it's something like Superman who lost Krypton, maybe Goku who lost his planet, or more Aang who lost his Air tribe and never get it back. Also, how can Kiara stay alive underwater(besides being immortal.), shouldn't she be in a constant state of drowning? I can see how the others survive. Calli being dead and a reaper, Ina is probably using her necronomicon, and Ame is just being Ame also Bri'ish, no better reason needed. Well, so long she's in a constant pain and suffering me and the other fans can be happy.

You're going places already. Keep up the amazing work you're doing and continue to be inspired by the silliness that is our oshis.

This was very cute and wholesome. My favorite part was the POV of Gura sliding which I thought was very fun!

Ina and kiara teleporting in like their gura sense or something just kicked in was so sweet.

Absolutely incredible, this should be EVERYWHERE, its an experience more people need to see because, without a word, you told an incredible story and let the lonely guitar do the talking. Simply Beautiful!

this is a beautiful piece. i've seen the little bits you've released on twitter and it was interesting how much of a contrast little ball of energy gura is compared to the rubble of her home. I was thinking, "wouldn't this actually be kind of a bummer?" then 1:19 started to happen and i'm like "oh, there it is" ; v ; and the immediate support after was just a whole other beautiful moment. great work!

Aaah this is so well done! I love how bouncy Gura’s movements where in the animation, the coloring, the way Ina opened up those little gates here and there, the music, the facial expressions, that part with the slide, how excited Gura was to show everyone her old home, that moment when she had cried and everyone hugged her, it’s all so well done I love it!
