I've owned my pair of BR03 for over a year now, and I have no complaints. I have them connected to my Cambridge AXR100, and everything I've outputted through them sounds great (CD, TT, TV). I originally had them toed in a bit, but when I rearranged my room I decided to try them face out straight ahead, and they actually sound better. I love these speakers.

Thanks so much for introducing us to these speakers. I was looking for a secondary set of speakers for my office that were smaller and after seeing your video did a bunch more research. I ended picking up an open box in mint condition for $305. I can't believe how amazing they are and how much they punch above their weight class. I was also looking at teh comete series too from them, but these are going to be way enough. I've got them paired with a Sansui AU-555a and it's like they were made to go together.

Very respectful, the way you treated, or, retreated from the onus of mispronouncing people's names in another language. I would also add while I am a more jazz & lighter rock listener when I play the soundtrack from Blade Runner 2049 with the Taiko drums the Bro3s I think do a great job at reproducing them. In fact the first time I played that track at 10 feet away I could feel the air being pushed towards me by the speakers, felt like a breeze coming through the house. Personally, I had both the ELACs & these in my home to see which to buy & for me there was no contest.

What has worked for me having Triangles is not to toe in until they are broken in. I have higher end ones that say to tow in but that took some time. Any centering that was present got smeared by highs. Stereo panning was exaggerated and annoying. Straight out all of this was far far less fatiguing and really nice but you knew something was left to shine (at least for my American ears) After that break the center was clear with really nice depth and the highs were fantastic - lively and exciting. Just my 2 cents. Great video! (I’m also team horns low powered amps so I have a bias and have patience enjoy waiting for that sound to dial in. I use an alto sax to measure break in on tubes, amps and speakers. I’m a freak)

Ditto other singers and strummers, just beautifull, sweet and clean. Wes Montgomery's notes never sounded cleaner. I am bowled over by them, but there again I was coming from the bargain basement.

I've had my pair for about 9 months. Before I bought them I watched and read all the reviews I could find. I haven't watched a review of them in awhile. Now that I'm very comfortable with these speakers I really enjoyed your review. I like all your videos and was very happy to hear you talk about something I own. I agree with pretty much everything you said, and two things in particular. Break in time. It was about 3 weeks for me, and worth the wait. Anyone interested in the BR03's needs to take that into consideration. Secondly, the music I listen to most is jazz, and it shines on these. Although I agree with you on the bass, I feel it could be quicker on these, but tonaly I love their bass. I actually have mine out around a meter from the back wall, and found that tightened up the bass, although made it less strong, but I do have them paired to a subwoofer and am very happy. Once again, great review.

Hmmm maybe im too new to speakers but the BR03 has alot of characteristics that a good headphone should have. But yes from listening to my friends system i can understand why you would say its lacking bass as there isnt much upper bass bloat giving extra body to the sound. Personally i feel that the BR03 could use some silver in the system and clean sounding tubes to tame the bass a tad to bring it more in line with the vocals. Otherwise i could live with this until the 2022 comete comes out(hopefully with as little delay as possible) and bring it in line with the borea tuning esp the high end being so nicely done so that you can get soaring vocal extension.

Similar yet opposite experience with Klipsch. Owned a pair of the very well reviewed RP600m. Issue with a tweeter. Email to Amazon, with immediate answer-they couldn't help, call the folks that we sell through-great said they. Called them, immediate response-we can't help, call Klipsch. I sold audio for 20 years, was not used to the "we don't do that" answer. Called Klipsch-no answer. Emailed Klipsch, 90 days passed and 4 emails from me. Their reply, we are really busy. But hang in there. 4 of the same exact message from Klipsch. I said goodbye to that 600 hundred dollar sale and will speak nothing but truth about my experience. Shame on them.

I was wondering if you had any advice on this pairing. I have come to the conclusion that I'm not as great at hearing music as I thought. Considering Fleetwood Mac album Rumors, the copy I have Is the clear one from Walmart. I read everywhere that it's simply a terrible recording. I think it sounds amazing. I would like your opinion on the pairing of these two. Love your reviews!! Keep up the great work.

Great fo Jazz listening. Absolutely; at least in connection with a Cyrus amp/Cyrus components. NOT so good for listening to "loud" music. Tool or Mastodon over these? No! These speakers are so good; they will become a classic and I will buy another pair. Thanks.

Hey Vinyl Attack........................................ As a Marshall user, a musician & ubiquitous stand mount/subwoofer advocate, I ask why you would not propose an alternative to the subwoofer knee-jerk solution? They do exist. Some potential buyers may not be using these for electronic dance music, some types of pipe organ music or as home theater effects. This frequent buyer is one that is purchasing speakers to playback music comprised of non-synthetic instrument based music. For them, getting to 15Hz is not only unimportant but doesn't exist at all in the recordings they play. For a myriad of reasons, the objective is really about getting to about 40Hz flat. Equally important isn't just how low, but how well they sound up higher to blend with the next driver. With cone midrange's to around 250Hz & compression horn midrange's to about 800Hz. SubWoofers do a terrible job, if at all, with these desired ranges. For the alternative, I recommend extending the bass with drivers of similar design & construction. In this case, paper cone woofers which have an acoustic quality such as this 9:29 . Specifically, add a pair of Marshall 1X15 passive bass cabinets with a simple passive 2-way crossover. At about $300 bucks each, they'll be very competitive to a Sub's price and there's no need to buy stands for the stand mounts. Now, there is a stereo pair of LF drivers which will do a far, far superior job at blending with the Bro's and maintaining the tonal qualities of instruments all the way down. That's a pretty broad range, so there are a host of options available. I'd probably look at amps that have a slightly warmer sound to balance out the top end of the Bro 3.

So I bought the BR02 about a year ago, and I found it to be veiled and dark sounding with not much clarity in the upper mid range or treble. Cheap audio man had a review of the speakers, and he felt the same way. And almost all other reviewers have mentioned that the bass is quite good and deep for the size of the speakers. So hearing you saying that the bass is not as deep and the treble and midrange are bright, just doesn’t seem consistent with my experience or the other reviewers. They are on sale for $319 now. I loved the fit and finish of the smaller brother of the speaker so I suspect the same exact high-quality fit and finish for this one but I’m afraid that the midrange and treble will be veiled for my taste.

I'm really interested in these as well and I'm sure I've seen the same conflicting reviews. It could be that they take weeks and not hours to break in and/or it could be a QC/material source difference in a manufacturing run owing to COVID or... anything else. I haven't checked into this so have no idea if it's true but in another channel/thread it was pointed out that the negative reviews were clustered around the light oak finished ones. Anyway, they're down to $370 now so I'm going to pull the trigger on a Walnut pair... and in a surprising turn of events I'll be able to compare them to the Wharfedale Diamond 12.2's that just turned up. $450, open box. I'm not sure if I can get them far enough out from my walls, and still out of the wya to tame the bass resonance but I thought I'd try at that price.
