Violet couldn't be more spot on with her opinion about what we have been seeing in high fashion recently. Violet for fashion president...i'd vote for that ticket

The only 1 I pasue at is Dior cuz a lot of those were call backs to historical fashion w an attempt to modernize. Their also pieces we've seen many times. I just don't want to disregard the historical aspect.

What I dislike most about modern couture is that so many brands are trying so hard to be avant and campy, but it’s so bluntly “kitschy” that it looks costumey. And costumey not in a “Mugler way”, but in a “spirit Halloween way.”

Nicole Kidman looks like shes wearing an Alaska Thunderfuck original. The material, the cut, the way its styled, eveyrthing.

No cause I COMPLETELY agree with what Violet was saying, so many brands are like trying to fluff it out and try to be edgy by pairing random things together, or doing ‘weird’ things that aren’t even that weird because they’ve already been done the past like 4 years. Schiaparelli was my top fav also!!

Yes the No Gorges are back doing what they do best: critiquing fashion from a post modern/ fine art point of view! Don’t hold back divas. I agree that beauty for beauty’s sake has been missing for a minute I miss Christian Lacroix so much like I still go look at his couture 2007 collection because it’s just so beautiful 🥹 I was like 15 when that happened so maybe it’s just The Nostalgia 😇

I don’t know if the editors(?) of this show read the comments, but you are killing it, especially recently. The inserts of iconic and memed clips to accentuate and poke fun of Vi and Gott are *chefs kiss*. I also live for the consistent SpongeBob references, and the zoom-ins. Not to be shady, but I don’t miss the spiral-warp of their faces/ the distorted warbly audio. I would personally love to see more critiques of high fashion collections. You two are very well suited to let these designers HAVE.

Schiaparelli woulda been my favorite as well….in a world where Iris Van Herpens atelier didn’t exist. I always wonder how she will outdo herself next season…after the fungus themes and the models flying in the actual stratosphere…but all hail this most recent Meta Morphosis collection

Sorry but the last video of them answering questions about each other kinda made me feel like this is a one way friendship. Violet doesn't know miks birthday,sign, how many siblings she even has.... But mik knew all violets pretty much. I've had a friendship for a decade like this and I feel so much better with her being dropped. I think violet needs to appreciate mik a little more

no okay, but i love yall reviewing fashion collections. please do more. between the two of you, you have such a deep knowledge of fashion and it'd be great it if you went even further into the references youre referencing in your analysis. i also am trying to develop a better eye for fashion so i'd love to hear you go more into the details that make or break a look for you

I feel like no gorge is missing one of the point of Haute Couture : savoir-faire. These collections showcase the artisanal know how of old houses and unique métiers d’art. I don’t know enough about Dior but for Chanel yes you’re gonna see tweed sets because that’s what they do. And in every collection the tweed sets are very different (materials, buttons, colors, cut etc). For Valentino of course they’re gonna have flowers and feathers it’s part of their codes. Also these are European houses showcasing traditional know how from parts of Europe. Maybe USA people don’t get it and understandably so because they don’t have this kind of brand and history.

Violet reading Chanel for literally being Chanel is so controversial yet true.... Chanel is coture for the elderly

I agree but the funny thing is I know a lot of vintage, historical clothing everyday wearers and Dior looks like their targeting their niche market. I laughed so hard (vintage clothing not vintage values is what they say btw)

Love seeing Violet Chachki and Gottmik out of Drag. It's a relaxed vibe. I am here for it. Love the Madonna sex tshirt. It's easier for them. They don't have to be in drag all the time.

I don’t know why people don’t want to see actual critics anymore. Thank god Violet and Gotmik still give their opinion here on No Gorge. Others should just turn off the video if they don’t like what they are hearing, but I’ve never felt the need to stop watching either of these two since all of their critics have been valid

Thank you for bringing this video to us. Your photos and comments on the Dior clothes made me really interested to look up information on the designer and the inspiration for the looks. The Dior website mentions that the designer was inspired by the tree of life in found in the work of Ukrainian artist Olesia Trofymenko. The Tree of Life is a part of traditional Ukrainian folklore. The artist has an installation called The Flow which apparently features many of the embroidered flower designs. Dior worked with a Mumbai-based atelier, Chanakya, to create the embroidery techniques.
