I agree with all your points! I got my Beis carry on from the Nordstrom anniversary sale and it's amazing! On a side note, I also have the Away, but I like the Beis more, and it was half the price.

I hear great things about Beis but ultimately I went with Away. It has lifetime warranty and I love the colours they come out with, how light it is, how easy it is to clean, and the fact that it comes with a laundry bag, luggage tag and compartments that are super useful. Handle and wheels were so smooth and easy. Doesn't hurt that I have a friend who worked there with discounts and free engraving 🙈

I have the same Beis carry on and so I was so pleased that you compared it to others. Beis can’t be beat especially for the price. I took it to Europe and UK over 4 countries, trains, planes, and automobiles. You are correct, it is fabulous!

I’m almost exclusively a non-rev traveler so I deeply value a good rolling carry on. (I permanently travel with a valet tag on it because I fly out of an express only airport). I also love a spinner wheel. Recently I made the jump from soft side to hard side and I’m still deciding how I feel about it. I went with a Monos carry on because it had a fabulous warranty, reviews indicated it was better than Away, and it was the exact size limit for American Airlines (my usual airline). A great bonus- I was able to get it in a precious terrazzo style which stole my heart.

I have the carry on, the weekender bag, and the work tote (all in beige) and each of them has the trolley sleeve so if I'm coming straight from work to the airport like I am for a trip coming up, I can just slide my work bag on top of my carry on and make my way through the airport with one hand. And the handle with the memory foam padding 😍 *chef's kiss*

Yes!!! We have the Away for our carry-ons and just purchased and used the Beis medium to check in and we love it! It is very lightweight and durable! Wanting to purchase the Beis carry-ons too!

I had used my Away (polycarbonate version) on my recent travels including one to Peru, and I really liked the durability and how lightweight it was. I was curious about the Rimowa ever since you got it. I've never heard of Beis and will consider them now the next time I go luggage shopping. Thanks for your reviews!

I had Away and Beis before and travelled extensively in Europe with them. Then I met the carry-on of my dreams from an Australian company called July. They have different models, but I chose their lightest model, the 4.9 pounds Light Expandable. I LOVE this suitcase.

I bought the Beis 26” checked bag and the weekender bag a couple of weeks ago. I was really impressed with both pieces. I can’t wait to use them in November!

Being petite I don't care so much about clothing or most makeup but I find myself wearing a lot of mascara because that's all those tall hunks see when they look down at you:)

Can you please review Monos luggage? I’ve been very curious about it and would love your opinion. I purchased and returned the Louis Vuitton suitcase. I thought it was so pretty but I just couldn’t get past how tiny it was and that I couldn’t use a trolley strap with it for my personal item-that handle bad was really the dealbreaker!

I've been going round and round on which one and this seals it for me to invest in a Beis piece. Thank you for the comprehensive review.

I love the look and inside of Monos too. But have you had to engage with their customer service on anything yet though? I kept reading bad reviews on that aspect of the company so ultimately went with Away because of this.

I travel with carry on most of the time. I always seem to forget my mascara as I have no good solution for my travel cosmetic bag.This weekend, I forgot it again and somehow made it work! I wish there more compartments for toiletries and not just cables.

Yes!! I love your travel tips videos!! I clicked so fast, lol! I would love it if you did a video on TSA efficiency tips, especially with jewelry. I travel a lot with my 2 teens and try to be a TSA "ninja" but I get anxiety about traveling with my jewelry, especially Cartier. I do it many times a year but every time I go through the metal detector I know my heart rate speeds up a bit. How do you pack jewelry? Do you automatically go to the big scanner line? Sometimes if I put a finger through my bracelets and stick my hand out to go before my body it does not set the sensor off. I'd love to know what you do.

That was a great video Kristine. I have the Rimowa Essential and my son has Away and my hubbie Roam and the wheels on the Rimowa are superior. All luggage gets dinged but sounds like your really got beat up. Would you do the same kind of video for personal items. Your have the best reviews.

As flight crew, hands down Briggs & Riley is the best, their warranty outshines every other luggage brand even Rimowa. Its also the only luggage that uses a unique compression technology that I can fit sooo much in my carryon! They are on the pricey side, but well worth it with a lifetime warranty.

Briggs and Riley Baseline. Really very well regarded brand. Colors are very basic but this suitcase is so well engineered.

Thanks, Kristina I have been interested in the brand Beis, so this was great timing. I have always been that person that would never leave the house without mascara on my upper and lower, but lately, I have been on Zoom calls without wearing it !!!

Thoughts on the Beis Mini Weekender Bag , she sure looks nice . I got a black similar type off of Amazon and I love the bottom compartment, I can fit 3 pairs of shoes , we just got back from Vegas and it was great for my person item just not a fan of the black , it has water bottle mesh pockets and a padded area for my our IPads . Worked very well , just wish it was a different colour .

My husband has to fly overseas for work soon. I just ordered him a Columbia rolling duffle for carry on that hopefully holds a little more than a suitcase. He won't have to take all my mascara, so he should be good. 😄

Have you tried any of the July luggage? I’m especially interested in the very light carry-on, although it does sacrifice some space. I’d love to see comparisons with it and the other carry-ons in their line. Love your videos - practical and to the point, but fun. I have a hard time lifting my carry-on when I am alone, so weight and how sturdy the wheels and handle are all matter to me.

We love our Rimowa! Tossed our others to Goodwill, including our Away suitcases.

I want to add on the Away battery, many airlines will make you physically remove the battery from the luggage before boarding due to fire risk. I also unfortunately have had very bad experiences with the Away backpacks. The zippers broke on two backpacks I gave as gifts, and at the time they offered only a 1 year warranty. And now they only offer a 90 day warranty (this doesn’t apply to the luggage), which I find incredible considering the price point. Ok rant over. Thanks Kristina!

I had not heard of BEIS. I just picked up the Carl Fredrik carry-on. Love it! My other carry-on is the G-Ro! Love this one too, because it is designed to be pushed and not pulled.

Based upon your and Taylor Wynn’s review and recommendation for Beis luggage, I just purchased the carry-on size. I hope it arrives quickly for my trip to France 🇫🇷 in 10 days! My favorite carry-on needs replacing. It has a very deep compartment-the zipper is close to the top as opposed to being in the middle-which allows me to fit more into it than any other bag I have ever had. Can you recommend anything?

Have you tried Monos luggage? I bought that instead of the Away luggage after watching many reviews of each and comparisons, and it’s so nice.

I have three Rimonva (checked) pieces for 10 years plus now. They have been used transatlantic at least 20 trips and within Europe at least that. Only one is showing it’s age. Empty, I can lift it with one finger. Love them. My son tipped on over with the handle extended and a corner broke off. Rimova repaired it free of charge no questions asked. However, I’m looking for a carry-on and considering other brands. So thanks for this video.

Weight is #1 for me, too. I am a strong, independent woman who needs to be able to lift her own luggage (even when my husband will probably do it for me). 👍 I have an Eagle Creek soft-sided carry-on. 4.75 pounds. It is so ugly. I put my mascara in the pen holder in the front pocket.

I love my Monos bags. In many reviews they scored overall better than Away. The Beis price tag is too high for me, but I see why you like it.

Isn't monos more expensive than beis? I keep going back and forth from monos and beis to decide. Away is not even on my list because of drama with with CEO in 2020.

Since I know you have the Bento bag as well, I have a question. I currently have the Away carry-on, but I find that the Bento bag when packed makes it somewhat unstable when placed on top. Do you know if this is any better on the Beis? Is it more stable? I suspect it may be the size/weight ratio, but I was curious if you had noticed a difference?

Try packing heavier items at the "base" of the Bento bag! (closer to the seam where it folds up from flat). The Beis visually looks a little deeper than away but check online measurements to be sure!
