Fun tactic with the vigilante, since it can shoot with the barrels opened, you can fire a shot, prime the blaster, break it open to reload one dart, and when people break cover to charge you since you're reloading, you can just shoot them with your remaining shot. It also feels pretty badass to whip it open and closed when reloading. Not really war practical, but pretty fun.

Zuru is the only one to make really imtimidating photos of people using the blasters and firing it when they haven't even finished priming it.

Single shot can't have slam fire

If you want a single shot break action, and if you’re willing to mod, a singled sledgefire is the way to go. Mine shoots over 110 FPS and is stupidly accurate with worker half darts. It’s a true nerf sniper. I followed the MTB guide for it (except for the spring upgrade, will do soon) but since I’m in the states I had to improvise on the single shell. For those curios I used 5 inches of 17/32 brass fit with etape and super glue into a sledgefire shell length of 1/2 inch pvc. I then cut two 1/2 inch long sections of 3/4 inch pvc, and dremeled them out a bit until they could fit over the half inch, one at the front and one at the back. I then dremeled some grooves in it so that it could fit in the breech (there are some small ridges)

Break then pump seems needlessly cumbersome for only one or two shots. Just seems impractical. the 6 shooter seems the best of this group. Looks like a great side arm, and reasonably dual wield-able.

I don't know anything about competitive nerf, but I will say my experience running around a house against others with the Hawkeye is it's a ton of fun and adds some suspense that you don't get when you're able to fire faster/suppressively.

Hey Coop - could you do this rather crazy suggestion? Get all your buddies together and equip them with Mega Mastodons - if you don't have enough then maybe some of your friends do. And then have all of them versus just you (or whoever volunteers) with a nerf rival prometheus.

The Reflex 6 with a 5.5K Alphahawk spring and brassed barrels can shoot around 130 - 150 with good accuracy. You might want to 3D print a more rigid priming handle though because the standard one is quite flimsy. One of my favorite pistols of all time. Favorite of course is the Hammershot though.

Also interesting on the Reflex is that the loop is sideways, which makes it easier to dual-wield and have something to catch and hook the primer to shoot instead of needing your other hand. Also, it is easier due to only one motion. Unlike some slide pistols that require you to prime the slide back and then push it forward to complete the prime (Kronos, for example), this one is locked and ready with just the prime pull back.

To sum it up,he will hate the grip,theres no trigger guard and theres a small little bump in the frond of it with no space for his giant hand,even though it packs a punch,the grip is one thing hes NOT gonna like Pros,though,is that its pretty much a jolt with an OG priming handle that fits in a keychain,and has a VERY strong dart holder at the top. Yes i have a micro,So? It was half the price of a jolt And about the reflex 6,buy it,its comparable to a disruptor or a StrongArm,cuz it really can match up to them,even without slamfire,you can even Prime it silently if you hold the trigger down,pull the priming handle all the way,and let the trigger go,same with the micro So yeah,NERF IS LOOKING LIKE A GODDAMN AMATEUR

When I play nerf with my friends i have a painted (camo) hawk eye and go sniper mode and hide in my back up is actually the six shot (just forgot the name) and some might call me the “off brand” foam flinger but I truly believe that these are amazing foam flingers by x-shot

The Vigilante is a double barrel, which I really dig. You better believe I'm getting it anyway.

By our rules, the MK3 is top tier (in its tier). In the One in the chamber game, technically it has 1, with 2 quick reloads. Something to think about when maximising effectiveness...

I modded the reflex with a takedown spring and it works great. Had to clip it a little, except the result was definitely worth it.

I would recommend to buy the Roughcut over the Vigilante, the Jolt over the Hawk-Eye, the Triad for the MK3 and no recommendation for the Reflex-6 And I guess Dart Zone copied XShot for the name "MK3"

The Reflex 6 actually does sorta slamfire. As long as you have the trigger held down, you can draw it all the way back and it'll snap in and launch the dart. Feels kinda like a slingshot.

X shot has the best chance of outselling nerf, compared to any other competitors. They have (reasonably) inspired designs, that you can tell weren't just ripped from an existing gun by a third party, and walks the line between realism and sci fi better than nerf does. Plus they sold a minigun for 25 bucks and nerf doesn't do that shit so woo x shot

They might be better than nerf in some ways though. Some of their blasters shoot really hard for their size and type

Some interesting things to note: There is a better version of the Vigilante available now, at least better in my opinion, I've got both. I'm pretty sure that's the second version of the Reflex 6, I have the earlier one that has a different priming handle. The MK3 seems a lot like the Tek 3, only better.

Dart crimp problem, I got that problem solved: trim the darts and remove the rods (in the middle of the barrels.)

When I tried to slamfire it worked

Your aim... Those guns are pretty accurate, I can say this myself because I bought a few sets already for my 5 yr old but I end up using them as much xD

I have an old version of an X shot similar to the e vigilante and Hawkeye mix, without the guard and double barrel and a different storage on the stock

I like how the pistols hold more darts than all of the others

You can just trim elite darts to use ‘em in the vigilante

The vigilante seems to have changed design since this video, this one looks a little cooler though

Things I like to do with the hawk eye when it’s loaded I put darts in the barrel atleast 1 so it shoots two but with less power and if you load it fully and it’s ready to shoot open the barrel and you can shoot it like that

You know, I'm actually totally down for that vigilante.

The Hawkeye seems ideal if you need a cheap option for a kid's clone trooper or storm trooper blaster.

bro i got the OG vigilante which is yellow, got it somewhere between 2012 an 2014 i think, still works like a charm to this day

Great review, all these blasters have an ascetically pleasing design and I love the colors, I to really like the teal as i also have many D&D dice in a translucent teal style. while all the blasters look great and shoot hard they might only be good for non flywheel non magazine games but yeah not good for real competitive nerf games. though the reflex 6 could make a decent secondary. ^_^
