I wish I had found more reviews on these Vigo faucets before installing them in every bathroom of our post-fire rebuild in Northern California. We already have low pressure, but these faucets are nearly unusable! The look, solid metal and apparent build quality look great, but the water flow is absolutely horrible! Since we are unable to return them, I may try the major repair/upgrade that a previous comment suggested. Hopefully that solves it!

Hi, I had some flow problem with that faucet (VIGO Satro) even after changing the cartridge which wasn't the cause of the problem. I've been finally able to correct it by removing the little filter (looks like a screw) inserted in the middle hole of the brass piece (under the cartridge). I just popped it out and now the flow is great !!! Hope this help !!!

I just got mine and the lines don’t stretch out of the base like yours. Mine are up inside and it looks like I can only tighten it by spinning the line. Anyone else have this problem?

Can you share what and how they had you remove the inside restrictor please? I have 2 of these in the bathroom. I just checked that the source coming from the wall is powerful so there's restrictors somewhere on these and I want to remove them like you did. Not ready yet to figure out how to remove the faucets and replace them but would like to remove the restrictors. I'll at least remove the ones on the supply line from the wall like you showed.

Small black filter out of the copper tube. How do you gain access to that please?

@@ckac730 Turn off your water supply, remove the water feed tubes. Remove faucet from sink and look inside the copper fittings on the faucet where the water feed attaches, Inside that copper tube you'll see the black filters which can be gently pried out using needle nose pliers or probably a thin screwdriver. I show this at 1:53

@@michaelerbreviews Thank you so much for that detail. Here's what ended up happening to me. First, I have 2 of these awful Vigo sinks. After I finally disconnected the supply chains from the brass pipes, I struggled to remove the first regulator and damaged unfortunately the brass pipe for the hot water. Pissed, I deconnected the faucet all together from the vanity (I'm not good with tight spaces and plumbing fixtures). Anyway, I tried finding replacement brass pipes on the faucet itself but couldn't. I ended up getting instead 2 new supply lines. Now, the supply lines go straight from the water pipes in the wall to the head of the faucet (I thus removed the brass pipes altogether). The plumbing supply store had a flexible supply line that was of the right size for the water access and that fit right inside of the faucet itself (removing the need for the brass pipes altogether). Now the water pressure is very strong and I'm HAPPY. Having learned a lot making all the mistakes on the first faucet, I gave the second faucet a go. I was able to correctly and safely remove the water supply from the brass pipe and was able to remove the regulators that are on the brass pipe. The flow on the second one was slightly improved but nothing compared to the first faucet. I've decided it is worth the expensive cost of the new supply lines and will make the exact same change to the second faucet too. Sorry for all the ramblings. In hindsight, its not much and I paid a lot of money to bypass the brass pipes in each of the faucets but considering my starting point and the shit pressure I had after a very expensive bathroom remodel last year, I'm hugely proud of myself!!! And a big thank you for your video because it helped me learn the real world truth of these faucets.

i just bought this faucet and am experiencing the same problems. mine doesn’t have a black filter in the copper lines though. the instructions do now say to remove the plastic aerator after installation. i wonder why they would include one at all if they have you take it out during the installation process

i ended up taking the faucet completely apart and took out the pink cartridge filter. it was chock full of debris, restricting the flow

Matt Fiocca I dislike this faucet and don’t quite know why I haven’t replaced it yet. Probably because it’s in the guest 1/2 bath.

Do you know how to remove back flush restrictor? I have removed one restrictor that was screwed at the end of the hose but still the water flow is very low. Vigo tech support is a joke.

We also bought Vigo Satro (May 2024) and had issues with both (Chrome & Black Matte). The water flow was strong from the wall pipe, but the flow through Faucet was slow and it was breaking into different streams that looked ugly. We bought it as it looked posh and luxury Faucet but it was a compete nonsense. We had to uninstall and return. Highly disappointed.

SOLVED Figured out the fix!! Turn off water before starting! 1. Use allen wrench and remove the handle (screw faces forward directly under the handle, a rubber grommet will be in the way, take that out and youll see the screw) 2. Remove ring that is around the brass nut (Unscrew it by hand, once removed youll have access to brass nut) 3. Use wrench and take off brass nut 4. Pull cartridge up and out. (The thing that has the white stem sticking up that the handle mounts to) 5. Under where the cartridge sits on the faucet you will see three holes, one has a little pink strainer/restrictor. Pull the strainer straight up with needle nose pliers then put the strainer in the trash! This severely restricts the water. Completely removing the strainer could make it too noisy for some people so you to help soften the sound take a 5/32 drill bit which is the same size as the center of the pink strainer and drilled a hole through it. This still allowed for increased water pressure with drastically less noise. Also try removing the rubber O-ring all together. My faucet first looked just like this video, Once I removed the strainer it increased the pressure 10 times! Its perfect now! Enjoy!

Did it also eliminate the squeal sound no matter the volume of water flow?

Can probably further tweak it by maybe removing the o-ring in the strainer. Not sure if that would help even more

Removing the rubber ring in the strainer was perfect for me! When I removed the entire strainer, it was loud and too much flow.

I simply removed the tiny black o-ring that everyone was talking about and it now flows nicely. I did NOT drill out nor did i remove the screen. The stream of water is now one even flow. It is also not noisy.

I’ve experienced the same issues that everyone else states. Looks great operation is fluid but the water flow ruins the entire experience. Like others I wish I had seen this review before installing 5 of them. The company needs to correct this or remove the item from the market. I had perfect water pressure before installing this unit. Very very very disappointed.
