It's always nice to have nobody in the next seat on a long flight like this. Looks like TAP will be worth taking the next time I fly to Europe from SFO.

TAP is our favorite airline to Europe by far as the fares are quite economical, they fly nonstop from SFO to LIS, and the inflight service & crews are always the best: Friendly, helpful, professional. As for the meals, if you try other European airlines (e.g. Air France) the food can be inedible for many. If you thought TAP's breakfast offerings were bad try Air France & British Airways! And, of course, the A330-900Neo is one of the best aircraft ever (appreciate the 2-4-2 configuration a lot), it's new, clean, and comfortable.

Just an iPhone

I have flown on this A330-900neo with TAP and Hawaiian and I agree it is a top notch machine. However on my last trip SFO-LIS round trip I noticed the reclining seats I used do not retract when needed. When I called the cabin attendant asking for assistance, she simply forced the seat to retract with no comments. I have tried a few empty seats too and only one retracted. This absolutely unacceptable and we paid for premium seats. This plane was named D.Joao II, The Principe Perfeito on both trips. I have used a lot of airplanes since 1961 and this is is the first time this occurred. Shame on TAP for poor its defective maintenance.

TAP is badly viewed among the portuguese public because it has needed lots of taxpayers' money so it doesnt go bankrupt at least it's nice to see it has a good service in these long haul flights and also the a330neo looks great to fly in only flew tap in europe

It's green beans not asparagus

The problem is at the other end in Lisbon where the customs controls are so inadequate that one spends 1 to 2 hours just in line to get once passport cleared. Clearly, this is unacceptable but there seems to be a little on the Portuguese size to remedy the situation.

They are on strike. The SEF (boarder police) want more money. This going on for months now.
