Taemin has his own style and it is definitely visible in everything he does. SHINee all have solo projects but in my opinion each of them definitely impresses in a different way and you should definitely see more

Taemin always switches things up a bit when it comes to execution of certain moves. In case of Advice there’s this famous popping part he does when the lyrics go “floppy”. This part evolved from precise, hard hitting Taemin before military (once Advice came out) to full on sexy, swaggy, hips swaying seducer Taemin post military enlistment. There’s even fan made video compilations of this exact move and how it got so much “sluttier” so to say 😁 Anyway, if you love dance practices you should watch Taemin’s Famous dp. Famous was his Japanese release back in 2019 and the choreography is just crazy good! Plus he dances with his Japanese crew, where all of the dancers are simply amazing.

That is one thing i love about Taemin, he does the choreo over and over and will find what angle or change that can make it more visually pleasing, he does it right down to how he tilts his head. I loved this reaction because you can see it so clearly! thank you for this.

I'm not sure if you guys have ever done album reactions/marathons, but I would love to see you two dig deeper into taemins discography and live performances. For albums I would recommend you start all the way at the beginning with his first ever solo album "ACE" and work your way up. For live performances I would recommend checking out "Sexuality", "Guess who", and the performance for "Soldier + One By One + Press Your Number" at Tokyo Dome!! Love your reactions! 💎

thank you for the reaction! hope you can check out more of his stuff like Drip Drop, Just Me And You, Black Rose dance videos. and may i say, while music videos and dance videos are great when it comes to him (and SHINee as a whole), he TRULY shines in his live performances. seriously, if you're amazed by him now, you'll appreciate him even more if you watch some of his concert stuff. he's simply an outstanding performer, very passionate about concerts, it's his favorite thing to do. his recent Metamorph concert where he performed on a rotating stage upside down was jaw dropping since you asked about SHINee solo, all of the members have big solo careers too! from a dancing/performance stand point Key's Gasoline and Bad Love are great for starters. he's a great dancer and is a very charismatic performer, also very creative! he has this kind of vibe, i always say that he's like a kpop Lady Gaga (he's a fan of her so). his music is really good

Taemin is so unique

Taemin has worked with some of the best choreographers in the world including Tony Testa, Ian Eastwood, Koharu Sugawara and many more. Advice was choreographed by Kasper who is a Korean choreographer and works with Taemin a lot too. But as you mentioned, he totally makes the choreo his own and adds his own flair when it comes to the transitions and execution of the dance moves. And you’re right everytime he performs he will slightly change /evolve the choreo so I’m so glad you picked up his lil swag walk he added in the video. Probably feeling himself on that day as he should! 😂 Taemin is totally up there as one of the best dancers in the world and he had no formal training. He just loved watching MJ growing up and taught himself. He started popping and locking as a kid you can find videos of his audition when he was a kid on KZread. Also he does freestyle a lot. Taemin and Jimin from BTS are great friends Taemin is older and been a kpop dancer for years. Both comes from a contemporary modern dance background. This is way his dancing is so different, fast turns, hand motions, stop in seconds and a turn and kick. He's a great performer but his ballet backgrounds help him to be, love watching his dance

actually Taemin doesn't have a ballet background, he's a self taught dancer. his dancing background is popping & locking (not sure how it's called exactly), he started learning contemporary dancing since around 2015 when he met a Japanese choreographer who worked on his Japanese releases, she inspired him it's Kai who has a ballet background

@@universe986 Yes! Taemin is originally a self taught popper. Something interesting I also find is that he is able to do boogaloo moves. From my knowledge it's not a very common style of dance in Korea, which makes me wonder if it was also something he picked up by watching videos online (which if so, is incredibly impressive).

​@@universe986yes, Taemin is a genius, a natural dancer, he is self-taught.And the difference is so noticeable in how original Taemin is, how much more technical and light and smooth he is, he is like water.I don't want his name to be associated with Jimin because 90% of Jimin's fans hate Taemin for his talent.

I've heard Taemin mention the effort and energy he puts into learning the moves is about same as he puts into connecting the moves to make them his own.
